Doctor recommended it.Fish Oil and B12 that supposedly (per doctor) helps prevent some side effects of RX's. Not sure if that is accurate or not. I hear a lot about magnesium. What are its benefits for the over 50's?
Might have to add.Doctor recommended it.
Magnesium is a cofactor in more than 300 enzyme systems that regulate diverse biochemical reactions in the body, including protein synthesis, muscle and nerve function, blood glucose control, and blood pressure regulation [1-3]. Magnesium is required for energy production, oxidative phosphorylation, and glycolysis. It contributes to the structural development of bone and is required for the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and the antioxidant glutathione. Magnesium also plays a role in the active transport of calcium and potassium ions across cell membranes, a process that is important to nerve impulse conduction, muscle contraction, and normal heart rhythm [3].

Blueberries if you've got noggin' problems.Taken with food. Zinc. It suppose to help with thinking. (I know some here may feel it is not helping) B-12, ginseng, cranberry fruit and an old man multivitamin multi purpose.
Blueberries if you've got noggin' problems.
Yep. Doctor told me to take the fish oil as well. Actually prescribed it so I get it better and cheaper.I'm on the fence about fish oil. I've had a doctor say it's not necessary if you eat a balanced diet with limited red meat, and I had a PA tell me it's an absolute necessity and pimped krill oil over the regular.
You guys get advice from your doctor?
My doc is one of those old timey guys who makes you touch your nose with alternating hands, and while you do that he tries to knock you off your balance.. If you pass, you get a pat on the *** and you're on your way.
I probably need a new Doctor.
So your nuts are the size of raisins?
This MegaBlue dude. I like him. He has small steroid nuts and he thinks he's Ace Frehley, but that notwithstanding he's alright.
If you had just drank water and jogged 2 miles a day without the Niacin how much would you have lost? Seems like that alone would account for the 3 inches off your belly.Niacin is a wonder drug if you have belly fat. It basically B-3 that blocks belly fat from forming. Lost 3 inches around my waist by taking Niacin, drinking water, and jogging 2 miles a day at a slow pace.
It works.
No offense as I've been in Max Muscle and they're very nice but any brick and mortar supplement store is a total ripoff. You can get anything in there for 2/3 to 1/2 the price online. And GNC in particular is straight pull your pants down and take it type of fleecing. If anyone is looking for high quality vitamins and supplements in the Lexington area, my family owns Max Muscle Nutrition in Georgetown and in Lexington on Virginia Ave.
