These guys are always cheering for each other. They are talking to each other and really looking to be better. It was said at the beginning of the year that they did. Even through this losing streak, they seem to still like each other and are cheering for each other no matter who is in. That is a plus for this team and moving forward, if they can fix the shot selection and free throw shooting, they could get back to that early fire they had. I guess we will see.

I just wish the coach showed the same positivity and support.
Genuine question...has anyone seen he actually clap and encourage the players during a game. Seems like during every timeout his first move is to direct ire toward the refs this walk over to the huddle with a pissy look on his face.

You play great enough you may get to play more than 3 minutes straight and POSSIBLY get to walk past him to the bench without being cussed out in front of thousands of people. And yes he absolutely is largely responsible for a lot of the decline in attitude and energy on this team, and not just the physical part
I haven't really noticed much of a change on WVUs part.
I think it was more of an increase in intensity on the other team.
Especially watching the last 5 minutes of the OU game with WVU.
WVU was caught flat-footed...Took a lot of pride and manhood to attempt to make that game close at the end.
After seeing Oklahoma again tonight. That team is playing as intense as I have seen in the Big 12 this year.
They are already playing NCAA Tournament Basketball.
The question becomes.
What does WVU look like when they come out playing NCAA Tournament Basketball.
Think we are going to find out against Baylor
Especially since the shoe is on the other foot.
Baylor could be the one caught flat footed.
But unlike WVU...
They have the experience in the Backcourt to swing momentum.
I do think WVU possibly could be that team next year but not this year.
No matter how ugly, a W is a W and that has been scarcer than hen's teeth lately for WVU. But Baylor's up next. It's like going from Mickey Mouse to Godzilla!
It didn't help any that a 23% from 3 shooter decides he's an NBA star and drains some amazing 3's.
WVU can get by with bad shots because they rebound the ball so well.
When I look at WVU I look at offensive rebounds and rebounds overall.
If a team can neutralize this you could have problems.
Ultimately I do think you could get better play from the guards. But McBride is a true freshman.
He should be an All Big 12 player in the future.
