You’ll have some Cal fanboys that have been awfully quiet show back up.

You’ll have the inevitable “see, live by the 3 die by the 3” mantra that is just not founded on truth. Almost every team has off nights and off nights result in Ls whether it’s from 3 or midrange. Very few teams have a Shaq to just feed over and over.

We are gonna lose quite a few games with our schedule. Not really worried about it.

It's about winning number 9 and final fours for me. That's where any UK coach is ultimately judged by the fans

Cal made 4 final fours in his first 6 years with the first in year 2. Pitino made 3 final fours in 6 years of eligibility with 1st n year 2. Tubby made it his first year. Hall made one n hus 3rd year.

Odds are, Pope will take UK to a final four within 3 years. History says so...unless you are a drunk.

on here when Pope inevitably gets his first loss.
Will it be forgiveness and mercy or will we blame him/players and go full crazy on him?

I think we go completely nuts, we can't help ourselves.
I really hope we can just keep civil, I include myself because I HATE TO LOSE!
Just knowing we will never have a Shaedon Sharpe saga under Pope is heartening.

Pitino also won sec and national coach of the year bc of the dumpster fire he took over...we were thrilled bc our program was dead and we were banned from a post season. His roster would be the equivalent if we only had Perry, Noah, and Darbyshire basically. Unbelievable coaching job

If Pope finishes in the top 3 of the league this year as good as it is I don't see it out of a realm of possibility he would win SEC coach of the year
The new transfer rules have borne fruit.

Covid taketh away, and covid giveth.

Quite a few?
No.
Let this warm feeling wash over you.
We will be just fine.

After the way we had to suffer through the last coach's mistakes in losing efforts, I'll put in my two cents...

I'll go with the board NOT going into complete meltdown mode and being a little more forgiving towards CMP and the team.

We're not going to get blown out when we do lose. We won't be unprepared out there, as other teams in recent memory have been. Perhaps the opposing coach will make a few really savvy in game adjustments that equals the loss, and I think we could live with that kind of loss. Losing is inevitable.

Bottom line - I guess the way I feel about it is that : we won't lose in the way and manner we have had to suffer through losses like before.

That'll be enough for me.

And I think it's all we could ask for out of any loss this year. Just as long as the WAY we lose isn't like the way we lost with CCC at the helm.... You know what I mean?

... And I'm pleased to feel very comfortable in the fact that we aren't going to lose as many games this year as many of us assumed we would at the beginning.

That is victory enough this year.

Go Big Blue!
