I don't hold HB as causation of my hesitancy but since I'm in the business, I see:
1- players changing their minds last minute for many reasons
2- academic entry
3- players making life mistakes

In my attempt to make humor I named it the HB Syndrom but I seriously don't fret over the thought of his recruitment.

I'm not arguing the fact that there have been more harrison barnes recruiting results. I'm saying until they tell us they are coming to Duke and actually come to Duke do I consider them Dukies. We've had a couple of guys that committed to Duke but never made it because they ha second thoughts or decided to go into the draft before freshman became ineligible. Most of the time I'm hard on harrison barnes because he's a tar heel and tar heel family not because he decided to not come of Duke. We did fine without him. OFC

Carrick Felix decommited after Singler announced he was returning for his senior year. That's about it. But he was a JUCO transfer, so a little different circumstance.

Is there a time frame that he's expected to announce or is he no where near any kind of decision

I believe he will announce this fall. CTC is on Oct. 22nd which is when he and Trent will be visiting Duke on their OV. So in the weeks after that?

There was Shaun Livingston and the recruit that went to Minn. because his dad wasn't sure Duke would use him the way his dad wanted. He ended up leading Minn. in scoring and rebounding though. I can't think of his name right now but he's still playing. OFC

Wasn't it Kris Humphries? He lasted with Kim K. just a little longer than he was at Duke.

Yeah Kris Humphries. He was supposed to come with Deng that year. He ended up going to Minnesota, missing the tourney, and getting disliked by his teammates

Then on to the lottery and becoming a millionaire. I think he will take the trade off. Worrying about who likes you and who doesn't will not get you a comfortable life and an early retirement.

And that's fine and good for him. I'm just listing what ended up happening, not trying to point at and make fun of him

Anyone remember Kris Humphries' recruiting visit to Kansas? Roy turned him down, of course, but Kris actually had something to do with it this time. Here's a little snippet from an article:

Kris Humphries came on a visit and tried to commit. He really wanted to come here. But no one on the team liked Kris Humphries. He was arrogant. He told everyone he was going to come in and be the leading scorer as a freshman and that we'd all have to take a backseat to him. We were trying to be respectful and not say anything. But he was an absolute jerk. It was tough, because Roy was really excited about him. Kris Humphries was a big deal. He was a one-and-done or a two-and-done kind of player. Roy wanted him to commit on his visit. But we told him, "Coach, you can't bring this guy in. You can't do it." You'd figure Roy would say something like, "Let's work on him," or "Let's give him another chance." Instead he told Humphries, "Sorry, but you can't come."

Some of the rivals experts made predictions for the top uncommitted prospects. Here's who they think we get:

Eric Bossi:
Bamba, Carter, Knox

Dan McDonald:
Carter, Trent

Krysten Peek:
Carter, Knox

Russ Wood:
Carter, Knox, Trent

Everyone thinks we get Carter. 3 out of 4 think we get Knox. 2 out of 4 think we get Trent. 1 out of 4 thinks we'll get Bamba.

I like Eric Bossi's predictions the best:) but I really like Gary Trent as well and I find it strange that McDonald and Peek didn't list Gary Trent in their predictions because Carter and Trent early on was supposed to be a package deal.

It was just a couple months ago where Carter said, "It's a definite that we will be going to college together." Things can certainly change over time, but I'd be surprised if Trent ends up elsewhere.

Denniden, very true. I live and work out of California and not one "expert" out this way predicts Trent to any place but Duke. I was surprised Bossi was not Duke but hey it's all a guess until the kid announces.

Here's an UPDATED version of the OP showing a few changes in the 3-week interval.

Duke just signed O'Connell. So that's one.

Here are the top predictions from 247

100%
PF Wendell Carter -> 100%
SF Kevin Knox -> 100%
SG Gary Trent -> 95%

93%
PF Mohamed Bamba -> 62%

80%
PG Quade Green -> 29% (2nd place behind Syracuse)

New
PG Matt Coleman -> 35% (behind Texas)

50%
SF Jermaine Samuels -> Villanova

All the other offers show some other school in the lead.

Are there enough scholarships for all of them?

Who do you want most and who do you think will sign?

Looking at 247 right now we are listed at:
Bamba (61% with UK at 39%)
Carter (100%)
Knox (93% with UK at 7%)
Trent (100%)
Coleman (33% with Texas at 62%)

So we most likely have Carter, Trent (both to announce soon) and Knox in the bag. Coleman is a reach and I think Bamba is in play ONLY if Bolden is OAD (which to me is win/win for us...Bolden returns or we potentially replace him with Bamba).
Of course O'Connell already on board.

This looks to me to be a killer class.

Are we looking at any other lower ranked guys? I thought a few had previously been mentioned.

I'd be interested in hearing about them too. If they are anything like Javin and Jack...well things couldn't look much brighter.
