What would you or school do in this tragic situation (see below)? On September 4th, a Stillman Valley cheerleader was killed in a car accident on her way to the varsity football game. Stillman Valley school officials and coaches chose wisely in deciding not to play the game that evening. SV offered to play this game 2 nights later on Sunday evening and numerous times again in the weeks since. Reports are that Richmond Burton refused this initial request and all offers since. I

I see it 2 ways. Game means nothing to RB and everything to SV for playoff implications. Also why would RB want to travel close to 70 miles for this game. If SV has offered to come to RB to and play the game then shame on the RB program for taking the easy way out and getting a 1-0 victory. This isn't teaching the young men anything except taking the easy way out. It's obviously too late now to play the game. Feel bad for everyone involved.

On it's face this is BS on the part of RB. I hope that there is more information that lead to the decision.

Prayers are with the families of all those effected.

Here's my problem with this: This happened so late in the process you almost have to play the game that day to avoid this situation of a school being a jerk after the fact. That's why Alex Martinez's playing after his dad died the same day hit us so well.
