Springfield has a really good qb. He beat them last year too.

SLOW ON DEFENSE against teams with some speed and playmakers. Some people picked them to finish 4th in the CS8 behind Glenwood, Rochester and Springfield, which appears to be right on the money. After playing Eisenhower next week, they finish up against a very competitive Jacksonville team (which has beaten them in the past when SHG was HIGHLY favored to beat them), and against a speedy and athletic Decatur McArthur team. I think they may have enough offense to get them to 5 wins, but even in Class 5A, a road game against a 9-0 or 8-1 will probably free up some FB players for early basketball practice. Giving up over 50 points the last two weeks shows me that they have more deficiencies than just being a young (mostly Juniors) team. Hard to believe they will right the ship in the foreseeable future but, in fairness to them, that remains to be seen.
