Did I miss an announcement about their injuries?
I heard they were under the weather etc during first couple games but nothing since. Thought they would get a chance to get some playing time early in the year but have not even seen them dressed. Maybe tonight.

Malnati ate too much pizza.
When I was at NU, eating too much deep dish pizza could cause the dreaded disease known as "cheese block." I tried to treat it with beer, but that didn't work.

Depends on the type of beer. A few good hefeweizens will build up enough pressure to force that cheese through you like Khalil Mack through the Packer's offensive line.

Is Falzon ready to play yet? We could really use a three point spark off the bench a la Nathan Taphorn (who I've seen at a couple games this year)

Back in the day, no one at NU even knew what a hefeweizen was. We drank a lot of Stroh's, Old Style, and an occasional Mickey's Big Mouth. One would think that such rotgut would have a laxative effect.
