Racism exists throughout the world and always will. It will never die. Human nature won't allow it to.....and neither will the media and politicians do not allow it to at least diminish.
This country has spent 622,000 lives to end slavery in 1865. It has passed numerous laws to promote integration and equality during my lifetime (since 1948). It has elected a black man president for two terms. And yet, the racial divide today is as prevalent as it's ever been.
The divisive tactics of politicians and media go a long way in alienating us from one another. It seems to me that is a primary intention.
That division entails every aspect of life...along racial, ethnic, gender, age, socioeconomic and regional lines. Politicians and their exploitation of the media are widening our differences and stirring a very dangerous pot.
No political party should boast of having the monopoly for opposing racism. It's not....or should not be....a liberal vs conservation issue.
Maybe if we recognized the Holocaust as the ultimate lesson to be learned about hatred and bigotry...and then, learned from it...it would be a better world. But since when has anyone learned a lesson from history ?
Imho, the allegations of racism are far, far more prevalent than any actual random act of racism and the flagrant use of the term by certain politicians and their complicit media is the thing that is dividing this country. This is what occurs with identity politics. I understand conscious or subconscious bias but that does not necessarily manifest itself in overt or blanket racism. Racism is real but it is not as widespread as the fear mongers would have us to believe.

The intentional and often misapplied use of the word racism is largely to instill fear in the ignorant, placate the utopian seekers, arm the anarchists, and to massage the victimization mentality of those who wish to be dominated and manipulated by the nanny state. Good old fashioned greed and the lust for control by the practitioners of hate motivates this worldly end game.

There is a real solution to the problem but most don't wish to hear it.

Yes, we're long overdue for a good plague to thin the herd.
That might work but it is hit and miss at best. It is not the solution I had in mind. You are an intelligent man and can figure out what I am thinking. Again, most would not have the desire or discipline to partake.

Allegations of racism are what keep the "kettle" stirred up. As I said, this is done by politicians and the media.

I have been around it my whole life since I was a kid and I am 51 almost 52. I have seen White people that are racists, blacks that are racists, Guatemalens hate Mexicans and vice versa, Chinese hate Japanese and vice versa, mexicans hate blacks and vice versa, I have witnessed all that and more. It exists in all Nationalities and Cultures but the MSM in America wants everyone to believe that hate only exists in Whites. Thats what pisses me off more than anything, not a racist bone in my body nor anyone that I know personally. As for me I am like MLK, I judge people on the content of their Character not the Color of their skin.

I know or have met many a white man that I would never invite into my home, I have met many other people of color that have been invited into my home and others I would not. None of it was based on the color of their skin, it all had to do with what type of person they are. Hell I have many relatives I would not trust in my home. Some I would have to frisk when they left.
There are many good and bad people of all colors but the Lefts agenda is to paint all Whites as Racists is beyond disgraceful and I hope people are getting tired of it but thats what I thought when Trump won the election that people were finally tired of this Toxic Rhetoric just to divide us but here we are in 2019 and its only gotten worse. Hopefully people are getting wise to the rise and now fully see where all the hate is truly coming from, our own damn sorry excuses for Politicians thats who. Disgraceful.

It's ignorance, and ignorance will always be present in human DNA.

Competition is the reason we exist. It's our innate survival instinct. We're all here on a message board about sports, because we love competition. Very few if any humans have ever made it through this world alone. To survive means to bond with those around you that help you flourish.

Wherever competition is present for any reason, there will always be the ignorant ones that misinterpret the purpose of competition (to drive to better results) and make it us against them. Ignorant people will always exist and rear their ugly heads in all aspects of competition. Racism comes from the same ignorance of selfishness that causes a sports fan to assault or even murder a fellow sports fan for rooting for the competition. It's never going away. You just gotta recognize those idiots early and *steer* clear of them.

I hear what you're saying 67. But there is one correction to be made. It's more specific than "all whites" being racists...it's white men, period. Even white women (i.e. college professors, Hollywood actresses, the Me Too movement, women activists, etc.) use "toxic masculinity" and "white privilege" to bash white men as racists and evil.

His timing was impeccable; SNL was a lousy repeat last night so they couldn't roast him even if they would have wanted to

Nope; just the opening occasionally. It hasn't been the least bit humorous since Carvey, Hartman and Meyers quit/died
