What's your go to chewing tobacco/snuff?

My recommendation is get a good oral surgeon lined up before you start. Look for one who is willing to prescribe something to help the anxiety until the biopsy results come back. Otherwise, all tobacco is the same, just different flavors. I preferred Copenhagen until I found the growth. Happy dipping and just hit me up if you have any questions.

Edit: yes, this is a standard speech I give to kids who dip around me.

If you want to die from oral cancer do it. It’s not even an if

I mean Copenhagen is named after a place in Europe so it must be the best.

Copenhagen Long for 20+ years, 5 log a week habit. Really cut down the last 2 yrs. switched to the cheap Stokers. Down to 2 of their tubs which is about 10 cans a week now.

Don’t start. It’s absolute hell trying to stop. Really wish I could. Down to mainly dipping in the office during the day.

Worked with a guy who chewed . One day I stock my hand in a big cold puddle of crap. Being a hot head I grabbed him up and told him if he ever chewed on my job site i would can, then kill him. Cured him of a nasty habit.

Cope and Skoal long cut way back when I dipped.

That's been probably 15 years ago though.

It's a ***** to quit

A dip, a cup of black coffee, and Marlboro red was my morning routine. Good lord

Thinking about taking up the habit and wanting some suggestions.

It seems as though some here are having sarcasm deficiency.

In all seriousness, I have some bad habits, but tobacco always disgusted me. I’ve never smoked.
I tried chewing tobacco once as a teenager. I swallowed some of it and was deathly sick for two days.
I haven’t used tobacco since.

Have been dipping once a night off and on for 20 years. Move it around should be fine. It’s not hard to quit. Grizzly wintergreen longcut, ladies love it.

I used to run to the store for my Dad to buy him a role of Copenhagen and a plug of Days Work when I was an early teenager (You could do that then.). He mixed them together. When I was in the Army I once tried a dip, just once. I did snort a little Bruton Snuff but that is another story for another time.

Op does your boss chew also? I’m guessing since you and him got it on, you want to have more in common

I've done about everything with tobacco I could have possibly done... Never cared much for the dip... Quit the ciggies long ago... Can see why many don't like it but can see why some do... An earthiness that I appreciate.... An occasional cigar perhaps.

He also weighed 300 pounds at the time of his death. I chewed Day's Work when I was a young man. My wife made me quit that.

Grizzly Wintergreen FTW. Nothing better than a few cold adult beverages, topped off with a pinch.

I play golf with a dentist and another guy who's an oral surgeon who both always have a dip in. They both swear the cancer studies for oral tobacco are overstated.

Dipped Copenhagen Longcut for 21 years. Fortunately every time I went to the Dentist, things checked out good and my teeth are in great shape. This past June I got my wisdom teeth removed and was scared to death that I would get a dry socket. Since I couldn't eat much of anything for the first 3 days, I used it as an excuse to quit. I'm currently 3 1/2 months baccer free.

Nasty and dangerous habit. Hard as hell to quit. Kicked it 8 years ago after too many years. I used peppermint tea, moistened in a plastic snuff can for three years after I went cold turkey. It helped a lot. Cannabis helped too.
