Cholula is my all-around go-to

White vinegar with hot peppers for greens, green beans, etc.

Texas Pete or Louisiana for chicken and whatnot

Then these two for various other applications

Texas Pete mostly. Picked up some the other day that’s made in Winchester called Back Porch hot sauce. Haven’t put it on a meal yet, but I did sample some and thought it was good.

Everything mentioned in this thread is just rank and file compared to the original, one-and-only, Dave's Insanity Sauce.

Back in the 90s this was the only commercial brand hot sauce actually banned from sanctioned hot sauce competitions. The product is still in the market, and has expanded to additional flavors. I've seen one drop off this stuff make a 5 gal pot of chili plenty hot. A 2nd drop ruined it, so hot nobody could get through a spoon.

Maybe they've dumbed it down since those days. I hope so. Otherwise, do not eff with this product. Litterally, it used to be so dangerous, the sauce bottle came with an actual DOT hazmat label to warn the buyer of measured reactivity.

A bowl of grits, homefries, scrambled eggs and fried catfish—and Tabasco on all of it—with special attention to the scrambled eggs. sometimes a side of biscuits and gravy too. one of my favorite breakfasts.
I’ve tried many hot sauces and many are very good, but i always come back to Tabasco.

Franks, Valentina, and Secret Aardvark (you can find it at Meijer)

I also make homemade hot sauces with peppers that I grow, I made a couple different kinds last year that were out of this world
