Well, I'm married with three kids, so I think I'd identify as that.Any straight razor users out there?
Oh, good. Another shaving thread. One dude will come on here extolling the virtues of a single blade and brush; another will scoff and say all he needs is water and a Bic; some other guy will laugh at them both and say he shaves in the shower and it takes 30 seconds. Looking forward to it!
Hair absorbs some moisture and is softer after a shower. I tried it and it really does make a difference. Much less skin irritation too.I need someone to explain to me why you would shave after a shower.
Mach 3 and Cremo shaving cream IN THE SHOWER.
Yeah, well, that's just like your opinion, man...Anyone who doesn't shave IN the shower is an idiot.

Softening the beard prior to shaving is 3/4 of the battle. A product like Jack Black Face Buff really softens the beard and gets rid of dead skin and any ingrown hairs. A soft beard will also increase the useful life of your blades. Then use a good quality shave cream like Proraso and your razor of choice. Finnish with a after shave cream (not an alcohol based product) to sooth your face.
