Touchdown Avery! 2 pt conversion succeeds. We are tied up at 14 apiece with 11:41 remaining in the 1st half.

Not sure what I just witnessed but it had to be a miracle. Down 2 scores with about 3 minutes left. Score and then recover a deep kick on the 1/2 yard line. Kick returner thought it was going out of bounds and it hit with a funny spin and #12 recovered it on the half yard line before it went into the end zone. Props to Owen gave us a fit on the sloppy field and won the battle up front for much of the night. Terrible way to lose a game but I will give the Cougars a thumbs up for not quitting even when us fans thought it was over. Made me a believer tonight.

Great piece on WLOS about the Mitchell Cheerleader. Really puts everything into perspective of how quick one of our high school kids can be taken from us. Prayers for the parents and community as they continue to deal with this loss.

Hate it for the kid that did not go cover the ball but heard that the coaches were yelling to let it go out of bounds or into the end zone, but it did not make it. Had some crazy spin on it for sure. I’m guessing because the wet grass.
