I wish they had played it Saturday ( of course wouldn't have helped me when I worked since I worked 6 days a week) , but Monday school night kids have homework, probably why they have it earlier but it's harder for some people to get off work for 6 pm game then a 7:30. Guess I'll get there in time form my Rheumatologist doctor visit in Asheville.
Depending on the records when they meet the other aspect with Avery and Polk looking improved this year and with it looking like Mitchell will be 1AA this year odds against all three getting into a 32 team field. Or even if losing the game doesn't knock you out of the playoffs losing to another 1A probably hurt how high your seeded.
Yes, 24 on each side. Polk and Mitchell will get a seed, barring something catastrophic, and if Avery continues to play like they have, the Vikings will likely receive a seed too.
You keep saying that Mitchell will be 1aa, but there's no possible way of knowing that until November. Yes, their numbers are up SLIGHTLY, but not a significant amount. They will likely be around 500 give or take, pretty much where they have been for the last 4 seasons. I'm all for the bigger class, while the chance for a championship diminishes, the chance for a playoff matchup with a conference foe increases, and I would love to watch Mitchell and Avery duke it out in early December.
I have never said it as a fact. I said looks like or maybe in other post. But if" looks like" sounds like to much of a fact to you, I'll rephrase to "if" they do. No no one knows for sure until the ADM numbers comes out before the playoffs. I was just saying "if" the ADM matches the first week enrollment of 517 ( if that number was posted correctly) our ADM the last two years were 489, Lakewood was in the 1AA with 504 last year also it depends on the ADM percentages of the teams that get into the playoffs this year. So just saying it's a possibility and when we go into the Avery game you or I still won't know for sure what the ADM numbers will be. I hope we're in 1A and we might be. I'm just trying to be realistic if the report of 517 is correct and 499-500 is the cut off that's Mitchell having 17-18 less students by playoff time. Maybe the 517 someone else posted was wrong ,I was taking their word for it, the staff member that told me about the possibility didn't give me a number. Anyway sorry wasn't trying to upset anyone about it, just giving a scenario of a possible importance of a last game 1A conference game base on the information I have now. I won't bring it up anymore.
No worries mate. Not offended by any stretch of the meaning. It's good convo. I'm fine with either class to be honest, Mitchell can compete in either class.
