Robbinsville jvs beat Mitchell by alot.Mitchell Jv team destroy heritage last night , what’s impressive they are all in 8 grade . Better beat mitchell this year , been hearings big things from mit
Don’t take much from this game, both Mitchell and Heritage JV teams are way down. Having said that any win against the Green is a good day. Doubt it happens next Friday night.Mitchell Jv team destroy heritage last night , what’s impressive they are all in 8 grade . Better beat mitchell this year , been hearings big things from mit

First off I have been long time heritage fan. But took the green shades off , Mitchell 8 th grade class is loaded , they also have stud freshman back that’s been out all season , kid will make noise next year on varsity. Honestly think heritage will beat Mitchell this Friday, but after this season think Mitchell will be the stronger programHeritage will be fine. Its easy to be so afraid of competition that it allows you to make poor life decisions but the rivalry between Mitchell and Heritage didn't truly exist until the competition came around. They just didn't like each other, but the on field results were fairly predictable. The matchup has been made into what it is by a bunch of kids who had the grit to stare tough situations down and decide to be better versions of themselves. That allowed them to transform their programs rather than sulk and complain and remain in Age-Old ruts. I hope Mitchell does have a 10+ win type of team coming, It only gives our kids more motivation to work! You wont catch a true Cougar quitting on this program!
Heritage has been really good last few seasons , after this season see big drop off .Was it the 12-1 regional finals appearance last year or the 6-1 start this year that removed your designer shades? Just curious
You lose shine bowl player big loss, you lose your best 2 linemen big loss. You lose almost all your defense , which is strength of the team . As for 6 and 7 youth football , you got be kidding me lol.How big? For how long? We lose some good seniors including a shrine bowl pick but we also bring back our qb, rb, 4 of 6 of our linemen. Defensively we’ll have some holes to fill. The JV team struggled with numbers but the 6/7 team is undefeated and unscored on so I don’t think this “drop off” is as likely nor will it be as long as you think. In fact if the young kids step up and buy in, there may not be one at all. Like I said, we’ll just have to compete!
Agree with lot your are saying, but my opinion Mitchell will be lot stronger up front. Those 2 linemen heritage lose , are dominate best linemen in conference. You don’t replace that , as for Mitchell that freshman back will make instant impact, been injured all year . The j v game 2 seasons ago wasn’t even close. From A Mitchell point of view, when next years Sr.’s we playing JV ball, yes MIT won but MIT has lost 2-3 key players from that class. Plus Heritage had a couple kids moved up so I think next year will be a toss up. Then having watched the 2 JV games this year and most all Mit JV games I just don’t see the talent that has been there in the past. Yes the 8th grade class has some size but skill positions need to pick it up. Mitchell has to toughen up. They don’t like to hit or be hit . And if I am honest the Heritage JV’s were just way way down from their standard. Some of the same issues I seen from MIT.
Best Jr. High team I saw was Swain but man they need to clean up their act. Some chippy play from both sides that night but man that group of kids from Swain had lots of size, speed and talent. They could be a problem if the coaches there will rain in the players. Possibly best 2 players I seen at that level was Swain RB and Robbinsville QB.

Well you’re basing your prognostication on 8/9 JV results but you’re not willing to take into account 6/7 results. You wanted to speak on the trajectory of the programs but youre choosing to take a narrative and 2-3 year outlook while avoiding the 4-5 year and picking/choosing data to support it. MH and Mitchell have both lost players and had other players develop. Last years game and resulting score was not forecasted by any of the scores between those teams as they grew up. Bowhunter: you are 100% right on Swain. They were impressive. You lose shine bowl player big loss, you lose your best 2 linemen big loss. Remember my son was in 5 grade , all the bigger kids were dominate , because they mature early , by 8 grade my son was stronger then all of them by big margin. You can not put any stock in youth football , teams are poorly coach . As for heritage they will be solid next year , other teams will be able to compete with them .Well you’re basing your prognostication on 8/9 JV results but you’re not willing to take into account 6/7 results.
