then again Texas Tech has like 70+ players from Texas. So they can fill a roster with guys from their backyard (albeit a very large backyard). Add in the bags of money they have and life is good for the Red Raiders. They can get/buy good players from out of state to create a roster we can only dream of.

Lubbock is a 5 hour drive from Dallas and 8 hours from Houston, so it's not like their coaches don't have to fly to see recruits either. And Eugene Oregon is about 1000 miles from any football recruiting hotbed.

not sure what recruiting hotbeds are an 8 hour drive from Lincoln. Oregon borders California which is always in the top 3 or 4 states producing college recruits. They have 30 or so from Cali and get some from Washington (border state). And let's face it they have a cool factor (uniforms) and money to draw players from all over the country. Plus they seem to have a Poly connection that we'd love to have.

Going to be interesting to see the PR put up to try to sugarcoat the *** whooping yesterday and what I assume will be a lot of beatings next year. I said previously I think next year will be a variation of 'well, we lost our upperclassman QB so we have to reset our expectations with a younger QB' then in 2027 it'll be 'well, we have a freshman QB, he can't work miracles overnight' with the AD canned followed by a head coach firing at some point in 2028. Yesterday just confirmed that trajectory in my mind.

Extending Rhule was stupid then and looks way worse now. Going to need the private equity proceeds just to get out of Rhule's deal, what a waste.

Memories are short? Many NE fans think they're still a blue blood.
You idiots across the river always need a crash course what a blue blood is.

It’s through out time in history of college football not just a 10-15 years.
One of 8 schools who have won 900 games or more.Top 10 all time in winning percentage and 5 time unbeaten national champions makes us a blue blood you dorks.

The last few years of Frost, most had given up on him. People will have hope, but whose betting the farm on a turnaround? Not many I'd guess.
Most everyone thought Frost was a great hire at the time. After year 4 he should have been fired. Some would say sooner but the covid year was a throwaway season without a non-conference schedule. I don't feel the current team is much different than a Frost team. We just had an easier schedule.

Hey moron, once a blue blood always a blue blood. You are stuck on the last decade. One thing for sure is that your piece of **** team caps out at 8 or 9 wins and never is even thought of as a possible blue blood.
