Yes, usually by older folks. I'm obviously closer to the "older folks" category as I still have a FB account, but I can generally discern between real and fake. These days I assume most things are AI until proved otherwise.

The ones I don't understand are all the fake sports news ones. I see a bunch on X that report fake news stories. Not like Babylon Bee where it's obvious from the headline that it's satire. Just fake normal sports news...so and so is transferring to such and such school....when it's not true.

It will be interesting when AI hits cinema. Hollywood is freaking out about the notion that AI could produce movies, decrying them as "not art." But, honestly, when is the last time Hollywood put out anything close to art? Anyway, AI has grown leaps and bounds in this area, making some pretty clever movie previews with real actors. If you can license your image for use in an AI movie for a few million dollars without having to do any work. Won't make as much as a real movie, but it's free money.
