Funny that Sean keeps trying to retread these same ridiculous non-stories about police shootings. But yet goes completely silent when five cops are openly executed and numerous other cops have been shot and had chunks of concrete thrown off of overpasses At their heads but he of course likes to pretend like that doesn't happen.

Not to mention the fact that there have been so many black on black shootings and murders since Dallas but they go completely unnoticed. The story about the guy being shot while broadcasting himself on Facebook would be an absolutely enormous story if they find out it's a white guy. But obviously we all know there's less than a 2% chance of that being true.

Someone wake me up when statistics prove you have a higher likelihood of being shot by the police if you're black than if your white.

I think it is funny how the youngest African American to get tenure at Harvard just completed a very lengthy in depth study that covered I believe 10-15 different police departments in cities all over the US that clearly showed NO MORE OF A POSSIBILITY OF BEING SHOT FOR AA OVER OTHER RACES. What it did show was that whites were more likely to get shot proportionately to their population in each city.

To be fair, his results do show slightly higher probabilities for AA to get treated more forcefully. But nothing related to this whole narrative of blacks being shot at a higher clip.

I have dutifully been watching all of the cable news channels and it has been mentioned a little on Fox and on Morning Joe. But hardly a peep anywhere else. When it is mentioned it is usually shot down as an unverified study. Which it most certainly is not.

Just funny how people with an agenda only see what they want to see. Everything g else gets disregarded or rebuffed.

Dude, look at that list, he was not pulled over for each individual violation. You have to assume a number of those violations are a result of a single stop. Unless they're out looking for him, he's not getting pulled over for having no proof of insurance. Those are additional charges as a result of one traffic stop. I would venture to guess numbers 3,4 and 5 were from one stop. If you look down the list you can generally group them together like that.

The point of my post was to point out how idiotic his argument is, even if he believes they are single traffic stop/single ticket.

That little fact, which I assumed everyone probably understood, makes Sean an even bigger dunce.

I admit to not having paid terribly close attention to the exact wording of the study. Just the summarized results. So, I will take your word for it.

But, it pretty much negates the argument IMO even with the caveat that you mentioned. If black people are less likely per individual arrest to be shot than whites or anyone else, that is pretty cut and dry.

If people want to make the argument and start a discussion about why more black people are arrested, that is a completely different conversation than what's going on now. And there is some responsibility in multiple areas there IMO. But this whole red herring that white cops are cruising the streets looking for black people to shoot for no reason is BS perpetuated by the race baiting leaders of these areas and nationally. I for one am sick of hearing about it and don't want to be daily subjected to people telling me how racist I am just bc I am white.
