Is there no common sense anymore? Have the lunatics gained full control? Read this whole story and then tell me how this cannot make you hang your head in shame of how pathetic society has become.

This is a girl with a butchy haircut who got the school to make her own personal bathroom and that wasn't good enough. She wants to be in be boys bathroom despite no male parts at all.

We used to put these types in a circus or freak shows but now we parade them around snd celebrate them like they're Rosa Parks.

Grow a penis and you can use the boys bathroom.

Another one that perplexes me are the girls who call themselves lesbians because they love females, but search out the manliest butch looking girl to go after.

What's the point?

Race leaders throughout this country have said time and time again that the transgendered and gay rights fights have nothing in coming with the civil rights movements. They are actually disgusted that anyone (even the POTUS) would even make the comparison.

Being denied to use a service because of your skin color was absolutely a discrace. No one is denying this kid a service....they created an individualized bathroom and are still allowing HER to use a bathroom for people that have vaginas like HER.

While this specific situation is a little different, many gay and transgendered individuals have been denied a service. That is why the recent Indiana law created such a ish storm. It was more or less giving businesses the right to deny service based on sexual orientation.

While this movement may not be as big as civil rights, there are certainly a lot of similarities. And keep in mind that during the civil rights movement, people said the same things about it in comparison to the womens right to vote movement and others geared to equal rights for women.

And I take anything race leaders say with a grain of salt. I salute them for standing up for their movement but they will say anything to get the idea across that what they do is bigger and better than what someone else is doing. They want people to think their movement is the best and deserves the recognition.

I'd make up some fake (not saying s/he did) some medical/psychological issue in order to have a private bathroom in high school. That would have been heavenly.

In short...it aint. Everything is ok and allowed. Can't say anything about anything anymore.

Have you witnesses any gay or transgendered supporters being sprayed with hoses? Beaten with billy clubs? Had a dog released on them? No I didn't think so. No one has ever told a transgendered or other confused individual that they cannot use the same bathroom, grocery store, water fountain or bus seat that everyone else uses. Just because you think you're a man doesn't make you a man. The same way that just because my sister in law thinks she is a super model she absolutely is not. Biology determines what restroom you use....that's it. If you have a cock then it's on the left. If you have a ****** its on the right. Simple, but attention whores want to cause a stink.

Bruce freaking Jenner...yes BRUCE!...wins a courage award over a double amputee who fought depression and alcoholism to make a difference and be an inspiration in his world. WTF is wrong with this world.

Society is doomed if this high schooler gets to piss in the bathroom of their choosing. That'll be it for us. We had a good run though.

Do you all realize how old you sound? The country/world has been falling apart for a few hundred/thousand years. Guess it's your turn to be afraid that it's really for real this time.

You're right that the world has been falling apart for a while now, but it's never been anything close to what we are seeing now. The crap that has not only happened, but been accepted by many in society the past 10-20 years is something that hasn't been seen since this country was founded.

P.S. How has a country that is only 239 years old been falling apart for a few hundred years? Did the downfall of the USA start right after the signing of the DOI? This country is the greatest country in the world and was founded on religion and one God that continued to put God first until we allowed idiots and political correctness to take over the last 40 years and the end result is what you are seeing today.

And 75 years ago, people felt the same way you do about something else. And fifty years before that, it was something else. It's always "the worst it's ever been" and then the next generation romanticizes that "awful" time as the good ol' days.

Also yes, apparently it did. I'm sure there were people in America freaking out over something, whether it was adding new states, electing a president, freeing the slaves, etc. Our entire history is things changing and people being afraid of it.

We're now officially to the point of making broad proclamations about society and God and America based on where a teenager with a "butch" haircut sneaks cigarettes and pees.

You have heard of gays and transgendered being beaten and murdered because of it. You have heard of businesses refusing to serve them because of it. Reading comprehension must not be a strong suit of yours. I specifically said this instance wasn't identical. I also said that there are similarities between the civil rights movement and this one. Similarities means alike but not identical. If you can't see the similarities between the two movements than either you refuse to acknowledge them or you are doing everything you can to make the case for your position. I, myself, have acknowledged both sides. No they haven't been shot with hoses and no they haven't had dogs released on them. They have however been beaten, refused service by some businesses, and have had disparaging remarks spray painted about them so therefore there are some similarities between the movements whether you are willing to acknowledge or admit them. Burying your head in the sand doesn't change that.

And the amputee deserves an award. Just because he deserves one, in the eyes of many people, Jenner does as well. The entire LBGT community and their supporters believe it. Being in the military isn't the only kind of courage. Our armed service members are certainly courageous. The student who stands up for their classmate against a bully is courageous as well. Courage isn't one size fits all. Courageous to one may not be courageous to another. It isn't a competition. The definition of courage is up to the people that says another person is courageous. Just because you may not find someone courageous, it doesn't mean the people who do fine them courageous are wrong.

I get your point, and it is a valid one, (and I am not nearly as upset about the bathroom deal as the OP) but countries, societies and empires can and do fall apart. It happened to the Roman Empire, and it can happen to the USA if we just completely abandon our common values and traditions, don't think it can't. I would be careful not to be too cavalier about the "anything goes" crowd.

Now, just to be clear, you guys do realize we bought and shipped other human beings and sold them as property about 150 years ago, yes? That like 60 years ago we put Japanese in interment camps, and 100 years ago women were regularly beat by their husbands for not having dinner ready? Yes? Do we all realize these are facts? Yes? We're all clear on these things? Those were things that happened in society and were readily accepted? Yes?

Again, I get the point, and agree it is a valid one, but in New York, for example, I am 99% sure (someone can check me out on this) that there is a proposal floating around to let non citizens vote in local elections. That is the kind of batshit crazy stuff that sets my teeth on edge, i really don't give a damn whether two men want to get married, if that floats their boat. Yet no doubt there are quite a few people in NYC who support letting the non US citizens vote, or the whole idea would never have surfaced to begin with.

Lots of others will say, well why should schools and courts be conducted in English, all the locals in this town or that part of the city speak Spanish? Lets just let them do whatever they want, so they don't have to be bothered learning English. Or the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights, etc. Really really bad ideas, IMO.

Guess they will have to install tampon drop boxes in the mens bathroom there? Would be embarrassing, everyone knows whose the bin filler upper would be.

Weird.

Guys I work with are upset that crossdressers can pick which restroom is appropriate for the gender they live as. These guys are outraged that they can't go into the women's restroom at will, claiming it's their identity, even though they are all hetero rednecks. What amuses me is that they think the women's restroom looks like the shower scene from Porky's instead of just stalls, tampon dispensers, and the overwhelming stench of poop.

I would guess a special urinal would be next...pissing in the stall just isn't the full experience.

Good. Maybe the men's room can get a couch installed. I've seen the inside of a Ladies room, and it's a hell of a lot nicer than ours.

Gays at best make up 3% of our entire population. Transgender make up even less so it's pure insanity to cater to this crap constantly.

A Gallup poll in 2014 did conclude that approximately 3% of the population admitted they were gay. That however doesn't take into consideration the percentage of people who are in the closet or did not answer truthfully. A study by the National Bureau of Economic Research, actually concluded that the percentage is closer to 10%. Also stated that up to 20% are attracted to the same gender.

So because less than 3% of Americans believe it then it should be? Another example of how the minority is taking over in this land because everyone is too afraid to stand up. A dude becoming a woman to be in the spotlight like his family always has done doesn't take courage. A man comin out as gay to help his draft status doesn't take courage.

3% of people claim to be LGBT
97% do not
I would assume more people agree he shouldn't have gotten the award than not.

So are they able to conduct a mind reading poll now?

No but it is just as bad and naive to expect that everyone is going to answer the question about being gay honestly...Especially if you consider children and babies are part of the population which will skew the results. I would expect the actual number is at least 10 percent.

I'm not sure this is a justification for anything. We have more dysfunction than at any time in our history. Most of it flows from a mindset that you should be free to have what you want at the expense of everybody else. That selfish mindset explains a lot of problems from the national debt to illegitimacy to disrupting the educational process for hundreds of kids because you feel like the opposite sex this month.

I don't know a public school district that isn't in the financial ********* and yet their resources will have to be diverted to handle transgender teens, so that what, exactly? So we don't feel as bad about slavery?

I think the "victims" of this LGBT holocaust will be ok going to the stall in their assigned bathroom, shut the door, taking a piss, and sparing us yet another entitlement class.

Be who you are, that's great. Just do it at home.

If this person has no male sexual organs, and lives their life as a male, how will this person ever have sex outside of performing oral sex? Last I checked, males need a penis to have sex...
