When is this insanity going to end?

Actually the whole concept of separate rest rooms is absurd. Also, you're lack of empathy toward transgendered people disgusts me.
Seperate restrooms are absurd? How would you feel having a freshmen daughter who has to share a restroom with a 19 year old senior who felt like a woman that certain day? I could give two shats about transgendered more so than anyone else. They are no more important or deserve any more empathy than Joe down the street.

You clearly don't understand the transgendered community.

LOL The transgendered community doesn't even understand the transgendered community. Men think they're women...women think they are men. Women who think like a woman and turn into a woman still like women...does that mean they really think like a man? Should they then convert back? I'm confused.

I always think of CatDog when the transgendered issue comes up.

Such an interesting thread to read. Some of you would die working at my job. I work at one of the top trans-friendly campuses in the US. We do spend a lot of time talking about issues in the trans community. It's even common at meetings where there are individuals from other departments to introduce yourself and then give your pronouns. Holy ****, I would love to see some of you in those meetings! By the way, I don't agree with this student at all. Having an all-use/gender inclusive bathroom for a person that identifies as trans is perfectly acceptable imo.

I would think that at the University of Oregon there would be a naked tranny glass blowing course. Would I be correct on that? Just curious.

After adding all those new restrooms, you're going to need more administrators. I'd say a VP, a director, and an associate director for Trans-gender Student Life will be in order. Also, the feds will need to spend $3 billion adding additional gender classifications to the IPEDS reports, not to mention all the surveys required by the state. But I'd say it's definitely a worthy cause for higher ed. Just raise tuition a little more.
