When it comes to making a "political" point......

......is there any importance in actually telling the "truth"......even though it's largely impossible to know what that is when filtered through a partisan lens.....or do the ends pretty much always justify the means ??

Well, there are those among us who are so unintelligent that they don't know who our first president even was. Don't know who the vice president is, etc. For them, the truth is not relevant.

There's a lot of truth in that. We've become a society that wants everything immediately, has very little patience, and therefore if the truth doesn't mesh with our expectations we choose to ignore it. It's shocking how uninformed so many people in this country are.
