Can’t wait to see how they defend Biff on this. He was the prosecutor, judge, and jury with his actions and he was wrong. And no apology.

Nope, right wingers see it for what it is, a Democrat Mayor, Chief of Police and DA in one of the most liberal cities in the US tried to solve a very violent crime. Some say they illegally forced confessions, other's have defended them saying they admitted guilt before the police even knew the extent of crime.

The Liberal city ignored this until the current Mayor settled for an insane amount of money. Trump took out an ad as a NY resident wanting crime to be addressed. At that time, the facts, as given by the liberal office holders is what Trump based his opinion on. He actually believed the Mayor and his chosen Chief of Police and the DA, who was hand picked by liberals. Now, with revisionist history, Trump is somehow to blame for what the police did.

Can you defend the liberals who actually did the deeds? Very telling that it was Democrats who arrested them and put them on trial, and sent them to jail, but it is Trump who is taking the blame. Only in the minds of you guys.

trump is taking the blame because he paid $85,000 for a full ,front page ad condemning five innocent people and went on television and called for their execution. Moron.

Who blamed Trump for what the police did?
Trump paid for an ad using the information from the police and the mayor, so if someone parrots what someone else says, only to find out it was not true, who's to blame?

I had a huge discussion about this with my liberal in laws when they highjacked my daughters graduation party. Even they admitted that linking Trump is a political hack job. (except for my SJW 22 year old pansexual niece who could not understand basic argument. She actually thought Trump had something to do with he the young men being convicted.

For all I know, you were there, sounds like something you might do. Trump took out an ad, it was the liberals who sent those kids to jail and created this mess.

Your response doesn't answer my question. Since Trump was not chief of police, no one is blaming him for their arrest and/or conviction like you claim that they are. I could see where people would be critical of Trump for influencing public opinion with his ads, etc. on the matter back then. I haven't seen the Netflix series and don't know all the facts of the case but if those who have been released from prison are innocent then Trump has certainly opened himself up for great criticism regarding his past behavior on this matter. If they are innocent then Trump should apologize to them but he doesn't like to admit to his many mistakes.

Are you really this f'ucking stupid? Why does a private citizen need to take out an ad condemning innocent people. It doesn't matter where he got his information. That's why you don't do stupid ****, dumbass.

How is condemning what trump actually did a political hack job? I mean he did pay for the ad. He admitted it. He was video-recorded on national television. Is that somehow fake news? There is no political hack job about it. He did it. He's a racist moron. He should be condemned - not defended like you are attempting to do, and acting like a moron.

The ad run during the time that it being prosecuted by the liberals. The fact that anyone is focusing on Trump is laughable. Pure partisan politics at its best. The DA just recently stepped down from her gig at Columbia because of this. I have not heard an apology from her, the rest of the DA, the Mayor at the time or the Chief of Police, but Trump should give one, the one person, who had ZERO involvement in the actual crime or prosecution of it. The only thing Trump should apologize for believing the liberals who were in leadership positions at the time.

So the CEO of major companies taking out an ad to promote climate change and a year later some of their claims were debunked....something like that?

Here's a pretty good article about the event, notice Trump was not mentioned once-BECAUSE HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CRIME OR THE INJUSTICE

But lib dem commies did it!

they actually did, and everyone knows it. Asking for the death penalty to be reinstated in the state of NY is like me wishing Country would actually get the help he needs. Wishful thinking at best

I agree it was a waste of money, but let's be serious, it did not destroy them. This is 100% fake political outrage. To put this in perspective, in 1986 he was awarded the Ellis Island Award (with Rosa Parks and M. Ali) and 3 years later he is racist. What changed?

He has always been a racist POS. Only his idiot followers don't see it...or know it but simply deny it.

Countryroads89 is definitely a racist. Woman beater too.

agreed. I find it interesting that he choose to bring up this story and try and get reactions to it. His aggressive behavior on this board, watching a 4 hour documentary on rape, talking like the first lady gets what she deserved (for wearing a dress that got wet on the 4th) all adds up to paint a pretty ugly existence that needs looked into.

"see something, say something" really does apply here.

He continuously calls others racist while ignoring the fact of his own past racism on this board. True sign of mental illness.

It might be worse than we thought. The original crime happened in '89
