It's a shame Holgy left the roster empty after leaving.2018- Holgorsen’s final year, WVU was AP #17 going into the season. #20 coaches. #13 first CFP ranking.
—#20 in the final AP, #22 coaches final poll that year, #16 final CFP ranking. Also was the last time WVU was ranked in football, pretty certain.
He didn’t. He left numerous starters from a team that was 4 pts from playing in a BIG 12 CCG. Then Brown came in and chased off over 20 players— and the departures are still exiting the floodgates after three lousy seasons. It's a shame Holgy left the roster empty after leaving.
How many of those 20 players that you say he ran off were actually good players? Fans don't want the guy who is 4 pts away from playing for a championship they want the guy who is playing for the championship. He didn’t. Where was the QB? The OL? The WR? You live in a fantasy world. The 20 so called players only 4 were starters. Holgs had no idea how to recruit talent out of high schools. It's why the depth was poor and he had no chance to win the Big 12.He didn’t. He left numerous starters from a team that was 4 pts from playing in a BIG 12 CCG. i don’t say he ran them off, he did run them off. As to how many were good? Several were starters and the ones that weren’t had playing time on a team that had averaged over 8 wins a season for the previous 4 ( better than WVUs historical avg) and were in the running until the final game- 3 pt loss to Oklahoma who went to the playoff— for a BIG 12 CCG. They also played on the #16 ranked team in the country. To pretend they weren’t any good to make Brown seem better is ignorant. How many of those 20 players that you say he ran off were actually good players? Several WVU coaches have had a better winning percentage (which is a better indicator of success than # of wins) than Holgorson. Also, you always mention that he has the second most wins of any WVU coach, but always fail to mention he also has the 2nd most losses. And Brown has failed 100% more than Holgorsen did, yet dumbasses like troll Allen try to sell that he is the next coming and that Holgorsen who had the second most wins in WVU history and never averaged below WVUs historical # of wins was terrible.
Something is very wrong with that picture and it ain’t me……
Real wins are what matters, but certainly Either way you look at it Holgorsen was eons ahead of the current coach no matter how you try to slice it.Several WVU coaches have had a better winning percentage (which is a better indicator of success than # of wins) than Holgorson. He no longer coaches here. So why give a ****? If you're that horny for him go to Houston.Real wins are what matters, but certainly Either way you look at it Holgorsen was eons ahead of the current coach no matter how you try to slice it.
It’s also funny how people like you mention DHs losses, but always leave out the coach who had the MOST number of losses for WVU- Don Nehlen. Was he a terrible coach?
You also leave out that DH came in early, won more games immediately than the previous coach, won the conference, won 10 games which is fairly rare for WVU- and crushed Clemson in historic fashion. You leave out that he was actually left with a bare cupboard Of under recruiting for years. You leave out that WVU switched conferences and that Holgorsen faced the toughest schedules WVU had ever faced, yet won more than every coach save Nehlen.
You don't even have the balls to quote me because you know I own your ***.And Brown has failed 100% more than Holgorsen did, yet dumbasses like troll Allen try to sell that he is the next coming and that Holgorsen who had the second most wins in WVU history and never averaged below WVUs historical # of wins was terrible.

Was Beamer good for Virginia Tech? (first 6 years 24-40-2)Dana Holgorsen averaged 7 wins per season like as per WVUs historical average. The last five years it was 8 wins per year average. He came in a year early when the previous coach had to be removed for wrongdoing damaging the program. His very first year he did better than the previous coach. Won 10 games. Won the Big East. Coached WVU an entire season into a major bowl game and won that bowl game in historical fashion. Then he took a deficient roster because of underrecruiting into a tough new league mostly very far away— beat ranked teams and continued winning at a pace to keep WVU no worse than its historical average. This is why Dana Holgorsen EARNED the years he did.
Neal Brown has not earned the three years he has been at WVU let alone more seasons. He is winning 5 games a year, faring poorly against P5 competition and finishing in the bottom of the league every year. He hasn’t produced any rankings for WVU since he has been at WVU or won any significant games.
There is no comparison. Bill Stewart performed better and he was a severe let down from RR.
The nonsensical spins pretending Brown has been good for WVU football are laughable on their face. Hopefully Harrell is the coach he has been proclaimed to be and he can get the points needed to win the games Brown could not, or else it’s time to move on. Just as I said before, WVU cannot continue its losing ways under Brown if it wants to remain relevant in college football— the realignment people attacked me for telling them was coming is now well underway and everyone won’t survive it from the P5.
