Weirdly at that point I felt very confident that Vanderbilt would claw like mad to get back in the game, but I felt no confidence (or diffidence for that matter) that we'd pull out the close game.

Yes, NU fans are well aware that a 15-point lead isn't safe, not even with one minute left, but hopefully we are leaving all that behind.

One of the announcers (Lappas?) commented that Northwestern got a little too happy with itself after the Taphorn three-pointer, and I agree. They lost a little defensive intensity and boom — Vandy was back in the game and it was a dogfight the rest of the way.

They looked really tired down the stretch hardly attached the basket in the last 10 minutes. Stood around looking to make set plays.
