Could have had Cigs for free and with a huge ******* chip on his shoulder.
It would have been an amazing combination!

I actually think we approached Urban. Everybody tries.Yes maybe, Nebraska paying 15 million a year for football success is much cheaper than constantly firing coaches with 40+ million buyouts. If we pay a lot up front, but actually get results, it might be worth 50-100 times what we pay.
Hindsight is amazingly accurate.I wasn't that high on Rhule but then again I was in favor of hiring Fickell and he has been terrible at Wisconsin.
Cignetti at the time only had one year of FBS head coaching experience, and he went 8-3 that year. It's easy to say now he would have been a great hire, but if we had hired him then there would have been riots in Lincoln.
In hindsight we should have fired Frost after 2020 and hired Dan Lanning. Next time I'd be in favor of hiring a top up-and-coming assistant and spending more on NIL. The last three times we have hired .500 coaches and we've gotten .500 results.
In the Big12!Then those boosters are fools. He’s wildly exceeding expectations at Iowa State
Context matters. Good coach. I don’t think he would succeed in the B1G and apparently ADs agree. In the Big12!
Plus, he makes damn good $$$ for Ames Iowa and very little fan expectations.Context matters. Good coach. I don’t think he would succeed in the B1G and apparently ADs agree.
