For me these are some of the major highlights of 2015:
Star Wars returns to the big screen
Paris shooting
Kim Davis fiasco
ICD 10
Cubs won a playoff series
The death of the platoon system

Climate change is still a myth
President Obama is still God awful
Hillary Clinton is still a pathological liar
Congress, on both sides of the aisle, is still a joke
Bill Clinton, I have no doubt, it still getting it somewhere else.

Yep.

30 years from now I won't remember any of that other crap occurring in the year of da lawd 2K and fifteen, but I'll remember the Cat being 38-0, having 3 straight shot clock violations, and losing in the Final Four.

It sucks, but it'll never go away.
:(

Last face to face conversation I had with my Dad was about the game. Was Easter the day after, he was sick in bed with the flu and never once came downstairs to my family's Easter brunch they always host (was an odd precursor looking back) so I went up and talked to him about the game. Obv he was not thrilled. WCS drew his particular ire from what I recall. Died suddenly Tuesday morning, but that was the last time I saw him.

So that one is burned into my brain from here to eternity.

Wildcats losing in the Final Four
New kitten back home

That's probably about it. Not much of significance happened that effected me personally in 2015.

Being in Indy's Lucas Stadium, half court, row 17 and seeing our 38-0 Cats not beat some team wearing red. It felt like time just froze for days. Hands were white knuckled on the steering wheel and had a blank stare for the full 1,000+ miles back to Houston. Just a game my ***!

Some other things happened too.....

I imagine that game sent quite a few UK bluehairs to their grave. Sorry for your loss.

Biggest Sports memory: Pharoah wins the Triple Crown plus takes the BC Classic, will never be seen again in my lifetime

Personal: Youngest Daughter Graduated from College and moved to NYC (close 2nd: My parents and my wife's dad, all in their 80s, made it through the year, I am afraid I won't be that lucky in 2016)

National or International: ISIS and terrorism really getting the world's attention, hope the world unites to burn their *** in 2016.

Lots of kentucky teams don't make the championship game. Almost 90% of the time. Ill remember 2015 for going 38-0.

Texas rangers losing three straight to blue jays.

Commonwealth stadium upgrade.

Some shake ups at work.

Had last row seats to the Final Four, but snuck down to 12th row baseline in the Mich St section with my wife, her cousin and his wife. The usher came down and busted the three of them, but I acted offended like they were in my seats and got to stay. [laughing] For those of you who believe this bad mojo led to our demise, back off. I saved the seats and got them all back down there by halftime. But I'll never forget the call my wife made to me when she said "hey *******, did you just pretend you didn't know me to stay in that seat?"

Oh, and we also had a kid this year, that was pretty cool too.

Same. I left about 7-8 minutes to go. Couldn't take it.
