How much longer can they keep Patrick Ewing? This is his 5th season and his teams seem to be getting worse, not better. In 5 years, he’s 1 game over 500. Surely, they can do better than that with someone else.

As a former Hoya hater, I still don’t understand why both JT3 and Ewing didn’t at least try to play the old Hoya basketball…. Press, defend, intimidate and run the ball!! Idiots!!😳🤷‍♂️

How long has he been there? Talk about a NBA great that is very quiet in the recruiting trail. Thought he was gone.

In general, guys that were great players typically don’t become great coaches. Georgetown hasn’t been relevant since the 90s. They’ve lost all the cache the had under JohnThompson. Young kids don‘t know that they were ever a great program unless they’re historians of the game.

Joe Rogan was just saying “if you ever find yourself in a situation where you’re explaining you’re not racist, you already ****** up”. Look at some of you go…haven’t met many racists who openly admit they’re racist. But if you think black people only get jobs because they’re black, it’s because you are indeed racist. the Ewing hiring had nothing to do with race and everything to do with Georgetown not having many options and him being a face of the program. They wanted to hire a Georgetown guy. What white player do you think of that played for Georgetown? I’m coming up empty.

None, because John Thompson only gave scholarships to black players. Some people would say if a white coach only gave scholarships to white players that, in addition to being a dumb coach, he would also be racist.

Maybe white people are saying “I’m not racist” because there is a racial stereotype against us that we are all racist. If you want white people to stop saying that, then stop labeling every white person with an opinion a racist.

Do people in the D.C. area really care about college basketball to even concern themselves about it? I'm guessing they don't...which is fine with me.

Right so he wasn’t a candidate for G-Town head coach 5 years ago…
The reason Gtown hired Patrick Ewing was he provided the best basketball in Gtown history. He is qualified for the Gtown job not just being an alum but a great NBA assistant.

As a straight white male I haven’t bought into this Trump era white victimhood ********. Those that do are racists who want to avoid any and all accountability.
Dude throw the victim bs and mental gymnastics aside. It’s simple cause and effect. If a bunch of folks start calling you’re whole race racist of course they’re gonna say “no, I’m not a racist.” Why would any sensible white person not open up a potentially racial topic with that qualifier these days?

Are you also against black victimhood? Or just the victimhood CNN tells you to hate?

No, I'm pretty sure white people are just sick and tired of being called inherently racist. I know I am. And the Left has really done ending real racism a disservice by playing that card over everything and labeling everything racist. People are just sick of it. Trump, for all his faults, just said it out loud.

I’ve never watched him and don’t like him, but at least that’s one guy who can say you know what I said some racist **** and I’m going to try to learn from it and be a better person. I can at least have a bit of respect for that.

6-15 this year and they have only made 1 NCAA tournament in his 5 years....it's looking bad right now for Ewing.

But even if he ultimately fails...it's not a racist hire. Ewing was the greatest player in Gtown history and assistant coach in NBA. Sometimes it just doesn't work out

I really don’t even know what you’re on about. Never seen a second of CNN in my life. It sounds like you and many others on here are in that white victimhood bubble. Educated and well traveled white folks do not have the victim mentality. We understand there are cultural differences between the black and white communities and we embrace it. You and I live in separate realities.

Well I hope it works out for him. Just because Joe Rogan said it though doesn’t mean he or you either one needs tell me how I think or wat my views are. This is the problem with everything in the world.. if I think P. Ewing should be fired, I’m racist! If I vote for Donald Trump, I’m racist. If I didn’t vote for Obama then I am just a racist and that’s some ******** and it gets old. I don’t give a damn wat color somebody is though. That don’t even bother me. A lot of black ppl still hate white ppl for **** we didn’t even do to them. I’m sorry that blacks were treated so poorly at one time. It is sad. I wasn’t born then though. I don’t see them as any less than I see myself. If I tell you I’m not racist I don’t give a damn if you or Joe believe me, but this is a msg board so I’m already hid behind a name and Id tell ya if I was racist. 😂

Lol. Yeah, saying I’m not a racist when people stereotype my race as being racist is classic victimhood. That makes so much sense

He’ll be gone at the end of the season. They can’t possibly keep him. If he wasn’t a legend at Georgetown, he’d already have been fired.

Yeah, John Thompson was so racist that when he finally retired he handed his beloved program over to Craig Esherick, his longtime white assistant.
