These are always stupid posts and I never understand the motivation from those that make them, but I'll jump in.

I said he would never play. If he plays and continues playing for the rest of the year, I'm fine with being wrong. Methinks you'll get the same answer from everyone you're trying to fish out with this moronic baiting post (again, what's the point, and what joy do you get from responses?).

So when you say something stupid(again...and again....and again...) and its echoed by a bunch of baby birds, that's ok, but when the kid is back im DECEMBER, its not OK to point out how wrong yall were? Ok...

Says the guy who posts Bull s h I t non stop
He'll set up camp if we lose and JQ has a bad game. What a garbage place to put yourself in all because you hated the Pope hire and want to be right. Oh well, I'll enjoy the process/free entertainment that is UK sports and let others spew negativity. Not interested.

I was very skeptical and am thrilled he may play starting today. We definitely will have a different look once he gets up to speed.

I was negative about it for sure. I was sure this was gonna be another Sharp situation.

But I never gave up on Pope and the team. They may not win today, but I think we will in the game and may win in the end!!

Go Cats!

I always thought he’s play. Always. Calipari is the only coach who’s going to sign a guy and allow that. JQ was vetted early in this process. That’s not my issue at all. Some of you need to look back at what people have said Before you straw man. I mean that for upcoming when Kentucky might get better but still likely have no shot at winning SEC or making a final four. That’s my issue. Standards. We don’t meet them.

You wouldn't have posted at the end of the year crowing that you were right if he hadn't played? Give me a break. If you want to make hot take predictions you can deal with bait when you are wrong. Every time there's a lingering injury or a guy not on the floor now the board lines up to say that UK got played again.

The only folks that said he wouldn’t play are the conspiracy fans who make stuff up and always think the worst of ever situation. Unfortunately, there are several if there that post here. “Mo is disgruntled” sort of people.
Well I never thought he wouldn’t play. That was a Calipari thing, it’s not widespread although I’m sure it’ll happen more now. With the NIL players are demanding more money in season.

But there was / is 100% team turmoil. And MO was a part of that. They aren’t going to air that laundry and shouldn’t. Keep it in house. But it was to the point where people around the program were aware of it.

He’d probably say what he said. I figured he wouldn’t and he didn’t. Now he’s saying he’s glad to be wrong. However The same group of 5 that are constantly “everything is fine” while we’re losing to a constant basis and not living up to standards will never come back and say enough of this. They will never accept how wrong they’ve been year to year. They will never endorse program over coach, and they continue to do this to this day. That’s more of an issue than a fan like this guy who’s main priority is Kentucky winning to Kentucky levels.

nice to finally have him out there like i asked for from the start. but seeing lowe immediately run off the court the play before JQ coming in is game breaking.

we're not going to see anything from him all year long.

shut the young man down, redshirt, whatever. get the kid surgery. having a reinjury occur like that is unacceptable to contiue even trying to play the young man. It hurts, even kills this team. but you got it broken, Coach pope, you may need to go down with the ship and fall on the sword, brother.

Jesus help us.

No, I've been here way too long to act like a child. There are plenty on this board already. In fact, since the sale to on3 it's gotten worse. There are some clowns here that have come out of the woodwork. Just wait long enough, someone around here will do what you're claiming I would have done.

Yeah, I don't know where some of these people come from, but since the shift to on3 it's WAY worse than it used to be.

I'm finding I'm having to start over completely with my stellar reputation! Maybe I should remind these newbies that I've been on Rupp Rafters and HOB since 2006 (in all its forms), and have thrice won top 10 poster of the year (back when one of our fellow awesome posters ran those polls).

Will I still have my moments? Yes. But when there are stragglers in here still saying I'm that "dude" Duke fan, it's clear there are a LOT of newbies who have no respect for the Heismans in the group. :)

People post what they think. It’s all good. Everyone has thoughts and opinions. I thought it would be January before we saw JQ. But I’ll take today. Let’s go.
Me too, I always said end of December made the most sense to me. Even at the start of the year. He played exactly in that time frame so I’m happy.

I was never concrete screaming he was going to screw us over Sharpe-style. I was saying I'd be surprised because ACL injuries for big men are tough to come back from in only 9-12 months. My prediction was he'd not be physically ready and by the time he would, he'd opt to sit out for the NBA workouts.

I just never understand the point of "come eat your crow" posts. I've been here a LONG time on this board and nearly every person that does it is some newbie. We old timers on RR and HOB don't play these kiddie games.

I don't mind a different opinion about anything. I get after folks who are unfair, or have been ugly to me for supporting Pope. Being called a "Pope ball washer" or Troll for not wanting to fire him is going to get a response when the team shows them just how stupid they were

Love it. Told these skeptics all last weekend to watch out once he returns. He is a force in the paint.
I was wildly surprised. I knew he was good, but I had very little optimism that he'd make that kind of impact in his first game back in nearly a year.

If he was that impactful today, I can only imagine how he's going to improve over the next 4-6 games. Insane athlete for his size. And his hands are like steel - when he grabbed rebounds, he damn near crushed the ball.
