WVU slaps #4 Baylor....

excuse

1. Baylor was on last leg
2. they didn't care about this game
3. they lost on purpose to rest for the tournament.
4. Huggins out coached but players saved him.
5.....blah blah blah.

This team fought hard today and proved me wrong that they had quit. At least I can admit my misjudgement. The haters will not.

I still think there is one guy getting way too many minutes on this team but, at this point, it’s a short term problem. They got after it today and proved they haven’t shut it down. Actually was nice to see them having fun more than anything. Last but not least, from the TV standpoint, the crowd seemed to be a force

Playing devil's advocate, but if they were capable of beating Baylor like this, why did they not just lose, but get blown out, by a bad KSU team and bubble OU team at home? I don't think this vindicates one side or condemns the other as much as you think. Can't speak for everyone, but my criticism was not playing to their potential. And sure they are young and sure even the best teams have bad games, but even you have to admit that before today WVU had 10 games where the play was just flat out bad far more often than not.

I'll take current progression and choose to use the 6 losses in last 9 as a positive not a negative. A win finally propelled this team. Being Senior night didn't hurt. That is 2 good games in a row that WVU could have folded in 2nd half and didn't.

Knapper and Harler should never be on the floor together. This team has talent but they forget that they know how to play. Having Matthews finally step up and play well today was a huge plus and Key.

McBride needs to stay out of foul trouble. I know he plays out of control at times but his energy and defensive play gets us going as does Gabe on defensive side. With McBride in foul trouble you see what it looks like. Putting Haley at the point helped adjust that situation after Knapper / Harler debacle. Culver should never play last minutes of any close game. Him being there becomes the best defense for they opponent. They just foul him. Odds are he misses. 0 for 6 today.

I choose it positively. It's your right to choose it as negative.

Its one win. Nothing to get all topsy-turvy over. It isn't like all the problems are fixed.

Just like one loss, like OU for instance, isn't worth getting all down in the dumps and think the season is over.

Posters on this board must keep psychiatrists in plenty of business with their manic-depressive mood swings.

Very good win but I was right about Baylor. My Baylor Thread was right on the money!!! The Huggy bashers are the worst of this site. This has been a good year for WVU and for those that can’t enjoy I feel sorry for.

I am a Mountaineer 100 percent. But for the life of me, this team confuses me more than I can remember. Football or Basketball.
I hope for at least a sweet 16 at least. But losing in the first round seems just as possible. We will soon see. But I'll through in my two cents. I mean that all I'm betting either way.

Matthews was excellent and McCabe was limited to six minutes. Jay Jacobs said on the radio call that the game was too fast for Jordan. Haley and McBride are much better options to run the point than McCabe and having McNeil on the floor as much as he did paid dividends down the stretch. Also, the Coliseum was loud and feisty today so I'll give a 12th man salute to those folks for making it as uncomfortable on Baylor as possible. I admit it, I didn't think they'd beat ISU or Baylor but they look like they were having fun today and maybe it will breed more confidence and better all-around performances in both tournaments coming up.

Oh we won a game on senior night let's go talk **** because it means we aren't coming off of a 3 win MONTH. the people on here after a win are WAY worse than the people after 3 straight losses
