Where would you place yourself on this scale? I’ve been arguing that conservatives, who fall between libertarians and liberals, and liberals have a lot more in common with one another than liberals do with BLM and Antifa. I think most of the OT Board lefties fit squarely in the liberal area of this scale. DNC obviously feels they need those in the postmodern camp to when, else they wouldn’t be floating the idea of adding a far leftist to the Biden ticket.

I am a Democrat. I have also voted Republican. I would put myself between libertarian and liberal.

As for my party, they have sold their soul to the devil. They have been for decades trying to attract a younger following. But those youngsters never vote, so it didn't work. But now, these youngsters aren't "liberals", they are RADICALS and EXTREMISTS with their thoughts and beliefs. They feel pushing their beliefs on to everyone is the right way and use the "liberalism" claim as a mask to hide their true extremist views.

My Democrats are not Marxists or socialists. I think both parties have a little "socialism" in them, but the new younger group of Democrats are flat out nuts with it. Lumping a person like me in to that group is just the same as lumping all Republicans in with the racist idiots that show up with Trump hats on.

EDIT: A college professor said something to class once that I will never forget...."Fair is not always equal, and equal is not always fair". Has always stuck with me.

People need to stop using the term liberals as a negative. This is not conservatism vs liberalism fight anymore. If people haven't studied up on Neo-marxist theory vs old school marxism then you don't truly understand what has infilitraded all parties including Libertarians and Republicans.

Its easy for anyone who truly understands what Neo Marxism is to identify who on the board is liberal and who is a marxist at this point.

Liberals, Moderates, and Conservatives are going to need to swallow their pride and vote for Trump and Pence.
The marxist are going to vote for the Biden and Sanders task force's ideology.

Good post. Except Trump isn't a racist. The majority of people that wear Maga hats are not racist. Lots of Blacks, Hispanics, Latinos, and Asian Americans wear one.

Good thread. Up until 2017, I considered myself a moderate Republican and voted consistently this way until 2017. Since then, I repositioned to an Independent with moderate position now leaning more left. I would plant myself squarely in the middle between Libertarian and Liberal.

At this point, I believe that GOP that I was a member of has abandoned me and I won’t return until the MAGA mindset is burned and the party is reset....

We need to stop rushing to prove we (as a person) are not racist and trying to prove who is racist. I am 58 years old lived all over this world and have yet to meet a person who ISN'T racist. That goes for every race, nationality, skin color and religion. One thing is for sure, out of all the countries America as a whole is the least racist country I have lived in. Another thing I have come to believe is the people always trying to prove they aren't racists or are constantly blaming others for racism are the most racists people deep down. Serious question how is the MAGA mind set conflicting with any stance the republicans had before 2016. The only difference I see is republicans ran on the same platforms before Trump but never got it done, and Trump is actually trying to do what he said he would do.

Taxes - I don’t get benefits from the government, I’m in the top 3% and I pay what is owed. I would rather pay a fair share and see more investment into helping more American communities to become more independent and self supportive.

Abortion - I am pro-life. My ex wife had theee miscarriages and going through that affected my life greatly. There are too many good people in this country who are childless who would adopt in a heartbeat.

Climate Change - I believe this is real and we can either take it serious now and invest in the future or we will ultimately be left behind. The Green New Deal is not realistic, but we have to start taking this serious and lead the world as America has always done.

Private Property Rights - 100% support.

Freedom of Speech and Assembly - 100% support.

Religious Freedom - I am not a religious man, but I believe that every human being has the right to believe or practice their religion without consequence or fear.

2nd Amendment Rights - I don’t own guns, but I am pro-gun ownership although I don’t believe that an ordinary citizen needs to own AR-15’s.....but that is a personal belief.

US Foreign Policy - I believe is a disaster under Trump, inconsistent and without a plan or strategy. We are no longer a leader in this world because of Trump. He is also an owned puppet for the Russians, Turks, Saudis and Chinese....

Israel - I support the decision to move the embassy....good for him.

The GOP I knew would always be defending the rights to free speech and press.

The GOP I knew would be livid with a President who gassed protestors for a photo op.

The GOP I knew would lose their ******* minds if a President raised the idea of postponing the election. Co-founder of the Federalist Society agrees.

The GOP I knew would be in the streets knowing there are armed, masked secret police in the streets gassing and arresting innocent people...

So politically your party is drifting away from you. And most likely you won’t have a VP. That person would really be co-President. So you are LEFT (pardon the pun) between a rock and a hard place. How the hell do you decide to vote?

For me it’s not so hard, while there is a lot to pick at on DJT, he has helped my 401K & kept his promises to secure our borders/appoint conservative judges. So I will vote my wallet.
