after Meyer fires him? Has any coach done so little with so much talent? Hopefully this will stop the Schiano to SEC threads.

If he does get a P5 coaching job, I hope it's not close to NJ where he will try to recruit some players to his side. Other than that, I don't give a flyin' puck about Schiano.

We are so screwed. . . . .

Seriously, need to get over the ghost of Greg Schiano. He is not coming back here. He did very good things here and had outstanding support from Bob Mulcahy. And while not to begrudge his taking an NFL job, his timing and raiding our best coaches on the eve of national signing day left many fans with a bad taste in their mouth. It was the beginning of an ugly chapter in RU football that tends to diminish what he did here. Best of luck to him, except when he recruits or coaches against RU.

Adazio has won just enough not to get fired this year. We need not worry.

Until Father is gone BC won't be a East coast threat.

Who cares. Just be glad you don’t have him anymore. He did a great job rebuilding the program as far as facilities and hype but he was a horrible game day coach. Ash is further along in year 2 then he was in year 10. Major upgrade IMO. And from the people I know who work closely w the program, he is liked by EVERYONE he meets. Just a first class human being.

I would be surprised if he ever lands at a P5 school of any significant. Leopard doesn’t change his spots and AD’s know he’s toxic to deal w.

Absolutely. Some people knock Ash because he is a bit wooden. But I see him as a genuine, don't pull any punches kind of person.

Watch any presser. First thing he does is thanks the media for coming out to his presser and he appreciates their being there.

Watch any post home game presser. First thing he does is thanks the fans and the students for showing up and cheering.

The man is all class. And he is growing as a head coach.

If you are going to fire GS, fire the OC too! Look at the talent they have on offense and the look at the result yesterday. One game is hardly a ton of info. They got their asses kicked by a team better prepared. Happens.

That OSU meltdown against Iowa sorry of reminded me of our Louisville hangover game against Cincy in 06.
So funny. When I saw they were getting pummeled by Iowa I thought looks like the Schiano hangover game...

Meyer is not firing him. VJK i feel weird asking this bc I️ know you watch and know your stuff but did you watch the last two games?

Iowa had 4 INT today, one was a pick 6. It’s hard to have a good defense when the teams is in your territory immediately after a TO.

Same as last week. Barkley returns a TD on the KO. Then OSU fumbles in their own 30. Boom, it’s 14-0.

Personally, I’ve never understand you disliking schiano. We’re not in the B1G without him. But i get quesitioning him as a HC since some people are convinced he’s Urban Meyer. But questioning him as a DC... come on now. He’s as legit a DC as they come.

When I was in the athletic department as a student, there were MANY people who hated Schiano. Some would call him "demanding" or "driven," but others would simply call him an "a-hole." Take that for whatever its worth.
This is true but he learned a lot at Tampa. He took a really long hard look at himself and has worked on moderating his behavior. Wherever he ends up, he's not going to be the same domineering abrasive *** he was here and at Tampa.

I don't doubt that. That's part of the reason that I think hiring coaches that have failed previously is not necessarily dumb, as long as you believe that they've learned from their mistakes. I think Schiano is an excellent coach and will do well wherever he goes next.

JT Barrett threw 4 INTs last night, including a pick-6 on the first play of the game, and another at their own 10 yard line. Yea it was not one of the OSU defense's best performances, but the final score was not entirely due to them.
Yup, dead on.

Same thing happened last week against PSU.

Their offense couldn’t do anything either. When our D lets up 30 points it’s only bc our offense stinks. When OSU does it and their offense stinks that game it’s because schiano stinks.

It wasn't entirely the defense but Iowa's offense did a number on them. The announcers during the game and in the highlight show this morning were singing praises for Ferentz' son for calling a great game. Stanley played really well too, that one TD throw with the OSU defender draped on his legs was a very nice play in a slew of nice ones.

Steve Addazio is not going anywhere. BC was won 3 games in a row and only needs One more win for a Bowl berth .
With UCONN and Cuse remaining they will be in a Bowl this year ( and their 500 traveling fans will be happy),

Schiano might wind-up in Kansas.

Scott Frost, Greg Schiano and Joe Moorhead are going to be the top three guys pursued for open P5 jobs this off-season. Florida already fired their coach, odds are Tennessee and Arkansas will do the same by season's end. Does UNC stick with Fedora whose team is 1-8 so far? That's 3,4 potential high profile jobs off the top of my head.

Someone mentioned in another thread, at this rate he may wind up coaching the LBs at UConn.

I think Fedora will be safe this year. He's had mostly solid to good years during his tenure.

I think he will but it not will be at a tOSU or SEC type school. UCF I could see.

But I do agree leaving was the dumbest thing he did- had he stayed, I think we win the BE in 2012 and at worst we are a midlevel B1G program where he would have total job security.

Ash is further along in year 2 then he was in year 10.

I'm not one of the people pining for Schiano. I think he took Rutgers as far as he could and them plateaued.

But considering Schiano had Rutgers ranked in the top 15 in year 5, it is absurd to claim that Ash is further along in year 2.

Probably just wild guessing at this point - but will be interesting to see if he goes to

(A.) one of the teams that is in dire straits & has fired their coach ( but is fixable - don't see him doing a total tear-down / rebuild)

(B.) an opening that occurs as a result of a successful coach jumping to take over one of the current dire straits - dumpster fires.

Could easily see "B" - but we don't yet know which ones will emerge
