I haven't posted much since Tuesday either. First the Georgia beatdown when we had our first ever chance at going to the SEC Title Game and then followed by this beatdown by Duke. It had me not wanting to post much the last couple of days. Definitely one of the crappiest weeks in UK sports in recent years and there is still a chance for it to get worse.

We can't afford to come out against an inferior opponent in basketball today and look like the exhibition games. We also need to win against Tennessee in football. I'm hoping we finish the week out much stronger then it started.

Yeah, it’s been a rough 6 days as a Cat fan. Hopefully we look good tonight, and then break that Knoxville streak tomorrow.

Seems kinda creepy to start a thread about an person on an anonymous message board. Especially one that claims to be a girl.

I started the thread out of concern for a fellow Cat fan that has been a great poster here. It didn't matter to me whether it was a girl or not. I have asked about others that have posted here for a long time, but suddenly stopped.

Maybe it's just you that is creepy.

I feel ya. I was mad for about an hour. Then I was just dead. I didn’t even care. That’s how bad that sucker punch felt.

Glad you are ok BKO. Game threads aren’t the same without you.

She is no fairweather fan. If you have read her posts over the years you would know she is a very dedicated true Blue fan who loves UK. You have no idea what you are talking about!

Hey Bev, did you ever think that you would be a big topic on RR? Just shows how popular a poster you are here. I feel your pain. Been following the cats for 60 years and I can only remember a few bigger letdowns. Everybody hang in there, we will be much better by March!

I'm right there with you. My Dad passed away a few months ago and UK Basketball is something we always shared. Even though we lived far apart, we still talked about each game and shared a love for the Cats. It's just a different feeling this season. I'll still be watching the Cats and cheering them on as alwats, but I can definitely see where you're coming from.

I get those fans who want to withdraw from sports right now.

We have passionate fans. Some nimrods seem to think the only way to approach your team is with a devotion that "just puts up with" the bleak times. "Keep watching," they say, " because that's what a real fan would do"; or the infamous and illogical "Go find another team if you don't like it."

That's BS. We're the most passionate fan base of any sports in the entire world. When we have an incredible chance to win a title (at least from projection level) and then get bludgeoned to death, it takes away the joy of watching.

People who stay away this season in light of the media glory fest that will hover on Duke's run this year and UK's subsequent disappointing output have every right to do so.

It doesn't make them bad fans. It actually shows how much they care.

She actually is a fairly new poster. And you started this thread after two days, apparently. It's a little odd.

what is creepy about wondering where one of our better posters has been
it does not matter if the poster is male or female, she just happens to be female

She’s far from a fair weather fan and supports the players win or lose unlike some on this board!
