I’ve said many times that JF is a positive face for the university and advocate for his players…he does a lot of things right off the field, and I believe he genuinely cares about their wellbeing. At the same time one would have to be willfully ignorant to not see the very limitations and reputation you described when it comes to the actual X’s and O’s of game preparations.
Oregon was superiorly coached…plain and simple. Grant it, their talent comes from their checkbook, but they’re not the only program with deep pockets. Imagine what our vast resources could accomplish if we weren’t stuck with 2nd class coaching!
