We had one good non-con win last year versus Dayton and one awful loss (Chicago State). They more or less cancelled each other out.

In 22-23, we had nothing good nor bad in the non-conference.

Saying all that, we need to get tomorrow since both MSU/UNLV look solid. There really aren’t any more non-conference “scalp” opportunities unless DePaul is legit (doubtful).

Wins and losses aside, I am concerned about outside shooting and the ability of our guards to create opportunities. Barnelli posting up cannot be the only offensive stratagem if we are going to win 10 B1G games.

Yeah we just aren't getting enough team basketball yet. 10 assists won't cut it. Leach had 1 assist on 3-12 shooting. I'd start Windham at point where he can set up shooters and move Leach to SG, he's a good 3pt shooter but not a good shot creator. Bring Berry off the bench for a spark. Right now we are pretty scattered and honestly not very good. I hope that changes but the lack of guard production - including assists- is so glaring.

Routinely not being able to score 70 pts. has me concerned. Part of that is definitely 3 pt shooting where we are 25% or less an awful lot of the time

How does Leach compare to Berry defensively? I really appreciate Ty, but he's gone 1 of 9 from three over the last two games and seven points over 58 minutes. That's a rough line from a position we need 10-12 outside points a game.

Leach is not a good defender. He got blown by a bunch in the AZ tourney.
