Where were the TEs last night?

Overall, I saw some really good things on offense last night. 2nd half, I have no idea what went wrong. Penalties, turnovers, piss-poor execution doomed us. But, where were the TEs?

All spring and fall, all we heard was how good our TEs were and what matchup nightmares they were and how we were going to really exploit them. Well, by my count, we targeted CJ twice, both on little dink passes, and none for the other TEs. What. The. %$@*#%!

I can't imagine why we didn't use these 'weapons' more unless they aren't nearly as good as advertised.

I agree they did not use the TE s, but since Stoops has been coach that nothing new..

Would have to review the film to be sure. But probably had to keep them in the blocking scheme to help the "swiss cheese" OLine.

Don't know but UK's first play of the game was a pass to Conrad which he promptly dropped. That was pretty much it for the game.

But aren't TEs supposed to be used as safety valves when the OL is getting whipped? Thought we had two guys who had the talent to play in the NFL and we're keeping them in to block? Anyone ever heard of a 3-step drop? Hell, half the time we're in the shotgun. Shouldn't take more than a second to fire an 9-yard pass. If everyone's covered, throw it to the ground. If CJ and Hart are truly weapons, why didn't we use them at all last night?

CJ did drop the first pass. Caught another one in the 3rd quarter, I think. Those were the only two targets I could remember.

All I heard this off season was the focus on tight ends and how Conrad would be a All-American. Its like the game starts and the game plan just gets blown up

They slipped on Southern Miss unis so they could have a ball thrown their way. I think one even scored a TD.

No one was complaining about passing to the TE's at halftime.
Then we only ran 14 plays in the 2nd half. FOURTEEN!
Might be a reason to explain the lack of passes to anyone
