Where will the members of RR migrate to if/when this joint gets shut down?

To me the old fashioned way was waiting for the Courier Journal to hit the porch in the morning.
The old way was reading the Louisville Times in the morning and then the Courier in the evening. I used to read both of them front to back when I was younger.....and back then they had different stories and writers....

Nowhere. Outside of this place, message boards have basically been dead for years. Or at least dying. This board has been dying, too. Just slower than others.

I am in no way connected to this and get zero money for any type of subs he gets, but this discord is my new home, its 5 bucks a month but there is a great insider for all things UK that runs it, a lot of the same people talking it up in chats each day and tons of UK related info.

And no it's not trilly, it's a uk specific insider.

Debatable where we all fall in that list lol.

No but I really mean, we can make the subreddit JUST Kentucky fans. Reddit is a cesspool of wokeness and virtual signaling.. but you can still make whatever subreddit you want, keep out whoever you want, etc.
I'm totally down with that

these boards have too much traffic , I'd think if they do anything they remove the KSR boards and use this site's message boards as their main one.

Man I hope this site stays up. I missed getting to post during popes first season due to an idiotic 6 month ban (thanks for nothing mods) and was stuck commenting on FB groups which sucked. Love having the outlet here to ride the highs and lows of both basketball and football.

Someone could start a Thread in the spirit of the ‘80s “I Want My MTV” campaign, with a focus on keeping Rafters alive.

I’d hope On3 would already be taking the comments from this Thread and the other similar one into consideration.

On3, please don’t shut us down! RR is a meaningful place for Kentucky fans to gather.

Couldn't you just have created a temp new account to post?

I'm also fascinated how they determine bans on here as far as lengths.

I have been here since the beginning. Even going back to the very first message board. Can' remember the name of that board and posted under another user name. But, I am also nearing the end of my time here on earth. So, if this board goes away, I will probably just wander off into the sunset with all the other posters who have left us over the years..........

If this is the end of RR, then adios to all my posting family, both friend and foe. You have been a great help (distraction) for me in dealing with a lot of those bad things that come in life that we all have to face......

One thing you can always say about me, I may not always be right about some of the things I post, but I will always bleed blue until the undertaker drains the last drop of blood out of my cold lifeless body. Love my Cats.

I could have yes but don’t play that game. My ban had to materialize from the political board where things get nasty all the time. I think the practice of banning is quite silly myself but guess it makes some mods feel more important than they really are.

Id like to think theres good reason to keep this site around, as there's quite a bit of traffic, but I don't know the interior workings of this merger/acquisition. On3 bouth rivals or something? And this forum is basically just a Rivals forum with some dedicated mods, so maybe its something they'd know or can inquire Rivals site developers on.

Reddit isn't a bad option to recreate this, for those unfamilar. We can make a spot for Kentucky fans, keep out any riff raff, create topics, etc. The only thing is, reddit isn't great for keeping topics "going".. I think their preferred way of "forum posting" is that you make a thread/post with a purpose, and ideally that post will eventually be closed out. There are probably ways around that, like keeping the threads open for a while (maybe indefinitely), but don't know how well things like Gyero and the Politics threads will work.
Reddit is my thinking. There's a few Kentucky sports pages already.

Most of you probably are not old enough to remember the old Lexington Herald board. It was much much rougher than this one . HL finally shut it down because they couldn’t fix the hateful talk.
I used to have it out with Catfanmaui and others .
Oddly my best friend on that board was a UL fan . He was the only one most people liked . We had lunch .
His advice was it’s only a message board. You’re not having anyone on the board over for Thanksgiving dinner . If it’s not fun don’t post .
He said my post were too rational and suggested I join this board . While it has degenerated it’s nowhere near as rough as the old Herald Leader board. I miss it . But life goes on.
Were any of you guys on it ?
