I'm very happy to live right where I do now. I'm about 30 miles NE of downtown Cincinnati in a great suburban neighborhood. Love the area, the people are cool, decent jobs, decent schools, temperate climate, plenty of entertainment options, and some great places to hike, bike and kayak. Can't imagine wanting to live anywhere else. No shortage of places I want to visit. But not interested in moving.

Big Island, Kona District near Kealakekua Bay.

Would also love to move back to Kentucky, back to my family's land if it wasn't all owned by the state now and infested with yuppies in kayaks.

Been looking for a house in Bradenton/Sarasota area for awhile now. Looks like we have found one now. I'll still keep my house in Ky, but will fly back and forth.

Weird I know someone that just bought a place in that area also.
Some crazy HOA prices in some those areas.

we did that for a couple years, and found ourselves spending more and more time in Florida, finally sold the house up north.

We're currently looking at condos in Florida. From New Smyrna Beach on South to Stuart on the Atlantic side, and the Punta Gorda to Fort Myers areas on the Gulf.

Live in Shelby Co., KY now; grew up in inner city, love living in the country. I work out of my home and travel for my job; have the technology I need to be successful yet have the land to have space and quiet. 15 minutes to grocery and acceptable restaurants; 40 minutes to either Lou or Lex for more choices.

I lived in Austin for six years; would consider that again if life dictated.

Currently in Charleston, SC vacation with the wife - first time here; would definitely be toward the top of the list as would the Tampa area and spots south of there.

I love going to NY, Chicago, and such - but no desire to live in any such locale any more.

Country nights work for me.

What is amazing are the number of retires who are leaving the USA. So many have moved to the Philippines that the Social Security Administration now has an office in Manila. In fact if you are in Asia and are signing up for SS you contact Manila not the US. In the article they said it was two fold for the reason. One was cost of living and two medical costs and medical insurance is 20% what it is in US.

For a few years before I retired, I looked hard about retiring to Central America. After doing tons of research, I decided that it was just too restrictive, i.e the grandkids and other relatives back home, being so far away in a family emergency, uncertainty of security, and just living in a foreign land, I decided that I can afford to retire anywhere so I will stay in the good ole USA.

I moved to Taiwan because of my wife's job and some things are expensive but when it comes to street food and health insurance it is cheap. My wife, daughter, and myself are on the Taiwan health insurance. It covers health needs, prescription drugs as well as basic dental work. Total cost for 3 people, $121 USDollars a month. My doctor graduated from USC and my dentist is a UK grad. You call the doctor, they tell you what time to come, you show up, give them your card and that's it. If the doctor prescribes a drug, it is picked up when you leave the doctor at no cost. If it's called social medice, so be it but the people here go to the hospital when they are really sick, not when they have a runny nose.

I'm pretty damn happy living in eastern Kentucky. It if I had to live somewhere else I would love to live in Maine. Visited there a few times and it was great.

Like Nubb, I'm perfectly happy in Eastern Ky. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else. However, if I hit the lottery, the wife would want to move to Maui, and I couldn't complain. It's pretty great over there.
