LSU and A&M coming up. I don't want Kelly. Might have to pull for LSU and maybe Elko will consider PSU. Then Elko can't win big games, and I don't want him then either.

Willie Fritz’ Houston Cougars are dominating the highly overrated Az St Sun Devils.

Great coach, but Willie will never leave Texas.

This guy at Texas A & M looks great. Needs to lose some weight so he can last in Happy Valley for more than 5 years.

Matt Rhule. 6-2 with 10-2 on the table and 9-3 likely. That was what he needed. He is going to get it and then be the next head coach at Penn State. And I love it. He checks all the boxes because he is in the Penn State family. He played for Joe and the donors like him.
In order to be absolutely transparent, I am a very big fan of UNC basketball. Not only is every coach a product of North Carolina, all of the coaches wives are also from UNC. He checked all the boxes. He caught lightning in a bottle his first year. They have been a very average college basketball team since his first year. Requiring someone to be "part of the family" not nearly as important to me as someone who can recruit high school kids, as well as transfer portal kids and can develop them.

I’d rather have someone come in and become part of the family, that force a hire because they went to Penn State.

If the LSU/Texas A&M game keeps going like this, LSU fans will be paying us to take Brian Kelly. Some fans are heading for the exit with four minutes left in the third quarter with the score 35 to 18 Tigers trailing.

The College Football landscape is wild.

7 years ago, everyone wanted Dabo. He looked like the next Saban. Now I never hear his name tossed around.

A few years ago, Luke Fickel had Cincinnati playing Alabama in the playoff. Now, he’s bombing at Wisconsin.

Who pays us the most to take their coach - Clemson, UNC, or LSU? Brian Kelly will even unlearn his fake southern accent and pick up a Brooklyn Italian accent to sweeten the deal.

I think Kiffin could have beaten Michigan two years ago. I think he could have beaten Oregon last year, sure.
Michigan beat Penn State by 9 and ole miss beat Penn State by a more than that in 2023. Do I think ole miss is favored? No. But they weren’t today either, or against Georgia last year.
The arguments against Kiffin I've read are childish other than psychologically he might be a little off kilter. :)

It has become a familiar sight for the Lions this season: an offense that couldn’t consistently move the ball because of blocking issues up front, and a defense that couldn’t contain a mobile quarterback.

Fans booed throughout the game as the offensive struggles that showed up in losses to UCLA and Northwestern continued. The Lions put together two lengthy touchdown drives, though one was aided by an unnecessary roughness penalty after the Wildcats had gotten a third-down stop.

Running back Kaytron Allen looked shifty, but he only got nine carries, as the PSUoffense became pass-heavy, especially as the deficit mounted.

Injured linebacker Tony Rojas was caught by ESPN cameras yelling at teammates on the sideline, appearing to use the word “embarrassing.” PSU fans would agree with that.

Athletic write up on the LSU loss to A&M. I just plugged in a few terms to convert it to PSU and it sounds eerily familiar.

IDK Kelly was NDs winningest coach. $52/53 million buyout
-This LSU Snippet sounds Lion-esque too
Kelly was hired to win one himself, but his program has only grown farther from contention with each season. LSU went all in on its 2025 team — Kelly said in August the program had tripled its payroll this year to $18 million — and thus expected returns. But a season-opening win at top-five Clemson, now 3-4, proved deceiving, and it soon became clear LSU’s offensive line was a mess. And its defense, playing without star linebacker Whit Weeks, has imploded the past two weeks.
Dude is the anti-James with sideline emotion:

It’s getting difficult to know who we should be rooting for, and if we need our favorite candidates to win or lose their respective games. Elko is the clear #1, but likely highly improbable considering he’s going to the college playoff and his current school will throw a boatload of money at him. Golesh and Campbell could not finish off opponents they have beat. Drinkwitz is down to his freshman (PA!) qb, so he’s not going to the college football playoff and maybe he’s the most likely big swing candidate. Rhule won an ugly game at home.
