2010- Overall No. 2 team getting WVU as our two seed who deserved a one seed over Duke after just winning the Big East. We proceed to have to play them in freaking Syracuse, a Big East arena.

2011 SEC Champs- Get sent to the East as a four seed. Face WVU, the overall 1 seed in Ohio State, and 2 seed UNC in New Jersey.

2014- Granted we were No. 2 in the SEC and had lost 10 games (three to the overall one seed) but they put us as an 8 seed to face undefeated Wichita State (which I knew we could win), four seed rematch with defending champ Louisville, and 2 seed Michigan.

2017-Absolutey could’ve been a one with a 29-5 record, get sent to be a two seed to UNC who had a worse record than us and a loss to us. Also get three seed UCLA who beat us, as our Sweet 16 matchup.

2003 we had to play Wisconsin and then Marquette in Milwaukee as the #1 overall seed.

2004 again as the #1 overall seed with a team that only went 6 deep, we had to play a Louisiana A&M team that ran the 40 minutes of hell 10 deep press, then played UAB who ran a 40 minutes of hell 10 deep press. We just ran out of gas for the last 10 minutes against UAB.

I always thought 2014 was the biggest screw job, but Wichita State got screwed 10X harder with no lube or even a warning it was coming.

Wichita State was legit too. That was a Final Four team in any other region.

We ran a gauntlet that year only to lose to the worst national champion in my lifetime.

Yep. Ken Pom top 10 team that year. We survived that game. I say 2017.

Although in 2010 west Virginia should've been a one seed.

Edit-thought you were referring to 2017 WSU. They were def a final four type team in 2014 in any other bracket. Our game with them was a top 3 tournament game I've ever seen.

03 if bogans didn’t get hurt we would have beaten Marquette

04 no one was beating UConn

I disagree with the Bogans theory. He still played and scored 15. Marquette destroyed us in the post with their big guy Jackson. They also shot 10 of 19 from three. We shot 4 of 16. They shot 57% for the game. We shot 39%.

In 2004, UConn was the best team but Duke was right there with them. Duke had an 8-point lead under three minutes to go in the final four before losing by one.

Not just our bracket, but how they put duke away from us..made sure they were on the opposite side in 2015 so we have to play Wisconsin in the final four..a hungry team from the year before.

Or 2017...where duke lost like 5 in a row but they didnt clumt it bc K all of a sudden came down needing an in season spinal whatever..but then claimed the acc tourney was so good, they'd bumped them up 3 seeds and count it moving them to a 2.

This yr, they didnt count dukes losses w/o Zion, yet they counted unc's wins against duke w/o him

They never will put duke/unc on the same side it seems anyway. And that's bc they bump them up seeds higher than they deserve most years

Yeah, he made his name from that game but it doesn’t tell the whole story. Jackson had 24 and 15. Novack hit like five threes. And we sucked all around and lost by 14.

Then the very next week, Marquette came back down to reality and lost by 34.

2014 having to play witcha state undefeated in the second round and then it took off from there. The more obvious answer is every year

The 2003 game against Marquette was in Minneapolis not Milwaukee. Still an advantage for both Wisconsin and Marquette.

1986 was kinda bad playing western Kentucky and both Alabama and LSU for a fourth time within the regional
This is my choice. We got screwed and the SEC got screwed. We had a very good shot at winning it all that year.

My mom and I watched that WSU-UK game down in FL. One of the nice memories of time spent with my mother 5 years before she passed away.
