All the streaks are ending this year it seems. So does this mean Cincinnati finally gets a playoff win? I doubt it, but man I hope so.

I've been a Cubs fan for nearly 40 years. I've lived through 100+ loss seasons and post-season collapses. Today, I am overjoyed to be able to say that all the curses are over forever and the:

CHICAGO CUBS ARE THE 2016 WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

It's been nearly 14 hours since the Cubs last won a World Series.*

*concept shamelessly stolen from Batting Stance Guy on twitter
When we win the 2124 World Series the list will be:

The last time the Cubs won the World Series (2016):
ISIS had a caliphate in the middle east
Madame President Clinton hadn't begun WWIII yet
Europe was still majority European
Syria was still in existence
Liberals still thought Communism was a viable state strategy

Pretty cool moment to witness the Cubs win last night. I would say Cubs fans were in some sort of hallucinogenic state when Davis tied the game with that 2 run HR. You could almost feel their hearts sink.

Just a great game last night. MLB should be sending the Cubs and Indians a truck load of steak and shrimp.

Maddon panicked and almost puked away the game by taking out Kendricks.

I have never been that impressed with Chapman. Except for one relief appearance in game 5, he has been hit pretty hard throughout the entire postseason.

Lester needs to spend the winter in the Florida Instructional League so he can learn how to throw a ball to first base and pretend that he can field his position. On that slow hit ball down the third base line, he stood and watched as his catcher had to run 50 feet to field the ball.

I have never been able to watch baseball. I have tried and actually wanted to make myself enjoy the sport and become a fan. It just can't happen. Baseball is just so boring I can't make it through a couple of innings without wanting to just sleep and wake up towards the end of the game and tell myself I enjoyed the game. It's like Hockey and Nascar for me, no matter how much I want to become a fan of the sport, it just never happens for me. With that said. I'm actually glad the cubs won. Not a fan, but when a city/team goes that long without winning the title, they become deserving of a championship. After that many years of never winning it all, just imagine how the true diehard cub fans feel after this? I bet it's more than what KU fans feel after another big 12 title.

I haven't been a fan of pro sports in a long time, but with baseball, you have to know the game well and all it's intricacies to enjoy watching it. So much more strategy than what a layperson sees.
