...bourbon?

Up until recently, I was drinking a lot of beer.(15-20 daily). However, I realized a couple of months ago I was starting to put on a little bit of weight, about 15 pounds from the previous year.

I told a buddy of mine my dilemma. He suggested that bourbon would be a better solution if I wanted to drink, but not gain weight.
Well, I switched to bourbon, and I have to say, he was right. I've actually lost ten pounds since I switched.

Has anyone else made this same lifestyle change and had the same success?

Copious amounts of alcohol will make you bloated regardless...

When I got married 8 years ago, I weighed 175 pounds. Over the years I ate like ****, drank a bunch of beer etc etc and balooned up to about 236 at my heaviest. I looked teeeible lol

Quit drinking , ate healthier , run almost daily now, exercise and I’m back down to 168. I feel SO much better. Growing up I never struggled with weight. Ever, i have a high metabolism... could eat whatever i wanted, but drinking really packed on the pounds and made me constantly bloated.

If you’re trying to curb / cut back drinking shoot me a PM... ;)

I appreciate that Frank, I really do.

I actually eat healthy 5 out of 7 days. I also have been doing T-25 for the last 2 years. From the time I walk to my basement and back up, it's a total of 30 minutes. It's probably the reason I'm not dead.
If I didn't drink, I would probably be in great shape.
Since I was 18, I have always enjoyed drinking. I do think giving up beer for bourbon and wine is really going to help me physically. I feel a lot better already.

I sometimes wish I could give up drinking, but I don't think it's going to happen until they bury me.

BTW, you're a great poster.

Thanks my friend.

And yeah, i mean Beer (even light beer) is FULL of carbs so you probably will feel better in that way. Whenever i drank beer I surprisingly always felt worse the next morning (if i had a hangover) as opposed to Bourban or Vodka etc)

Now granted , often times Id Pound 10-20 Bud Ice, Natty Ice, etc (throw in a couple cobras or Steel Reserves Lol) so that probably aided in feeling like the devils taint the next morning.

Man, i remember being able to get 3-4 steel reserves and that **** would have me FOIKKED up!

Thanks Frank. Maybe I need to tone down my drinking a bit.

It has become worse since my Mom died last year.
As far as hangovers, I just don't have them anymore. I guess I've become immune to them.

Winking, PMs, “you’re a great poster,” “thanks dawg, I like you too, man.” WTF? Why don’t you two **** just go ahead and get a room? At the rate you’re going I’m sure Frank has something else you can slurp on.

This T-25 business. Do you have to have any kind of equipment to do it? Bands, dumbbells, etc.?
