I expect to get down a dozen early due to some chicken **** foul call from the 3 mice they send in. We can name any of the 6 and 1 will be in Lexington Saturday.
As far as Bama goes Sears will eat us up in pick and roll. Gotta play our toughest game of the year Saturday and earn another top 10 win that will put us in a 1 to 3 seed talk.

Gotta put Butler on him and do all we can to protect him from foul trouble. Butler is the answer to Sears. He's good and he'll get his share, most likely...but Butler on Sears, all game long, could change the game a lot. May be wrong but I don't think we have anyone else to control him...but Butler CAN!

I'm concerned about them all.

This is one of the three remaining home games I really worry about losing. Alabama, UT and Auburn. Not saying we lose any but will be tough games.

And we have at vandy and at UT after this game. You run the risk of losing 2 of 3 and also have vandy and their dumb gym in the middle.

Pope has made a point of talking about pick and roll defense. Kentucky is getting better as these players learn to play together and in Pope’s system. I believe we are right there as the best team in the SEC and are too much for anyone at Rupp.

I agree….IF Lamont Butler is healthy. That’s what I’m looking at for this game.

Who said scared??
I said concerned.

And now that I look at the post a little bit, I don't see anybody saying scared.
You do know that concerned and scared are two different things right?
Yeah I know the difference no reason to be a little *****. Every game someone crying because we are playing a good team. You wanna be the best you got beat em. Grow a pair.

Maybe you can get your little ***** support group to help you. I hope your not scared to come back to the forum.
Why you so mad kid?

Are you that upset you had to go back to school today?
Come on man, I don't think anybody said they were scared about anything.
Why you trying to put words in posters mouths?
Just relax and get your homework done.

Let’s hope Mark Sesrs doesn’t go off. He has all the scoring tools, and we need to limit his production if possible. Butler being healthy will be important.

As someone who was in LOW lower arena Tuesday night I can tell you Butler's on the ball defending is very impressive.
I watched him very carefully and he is one heck of a defensive player.

No we do not have anybody else that will be able to stick to Sears like him, but Sears is gonna have to work to get it done.
Can't afford for Butler to get a couple of quick fouls.

Relax guys, it is one game. Win or lose it will not make one ounce of difference come March. I truley believe UK beats Bama but may lose to a lesser tam later in season. Again, it is going to be a fun night in Rupp. Be there, be loud, that is ALL we can do.

I don't understand the "I wish they hadn't lost" idea. I want all of the the top contending teams to lose every time they play. If Bama had beat Ole Miss they would be 4-0 and trying to put us 2 games behind them Saturday with winning momentum. Instead they are coming off a home loss and have to come to Rupp. I'll take that scenario. They were coming to Rupp no matter what so doing so off a loss is better than riding high at the top of the standings IMO. I'm still worried about the game but not because they just lost. Because they are a really good team
This.

Some of our fans continue to falsely believe weird narratives, like the one about how a team coming off a loss is going to be hungrier to beat UK.

Teams don't need extra motivation to play Kentucky hard. We are the program every opponent circles in the preseason. Playing in front of a sold-out Rupp crowd with a chance to take us down is more than enough motivation.

I think it's not really specific to UK.

Just that Alabama had a bad game the prior game and you don't expect a good team to have two bad games in a row. I think it's that kind of mindset.

Not necessarily they would be extra motivated because as you said they don't need extra motivation when your playing another top team in the same conference. Just that you'd expect them to play better.

You don't expect them to shoot 5 for 20 from 3 and turn the ball over on 28% of their possessions. Or just in general put up back to back horrible games on offense.

This is why whenever we have a bad game and loss people will almost always say "oh man if we play like this against X team in a week we are going to get killed"

And then that almost never happens. Because how you play in one game has zero bearing on how you are going to play the next game.

Look at it from Bama's perspective: they're playing an away game against one of the two teams in the country capable of beating them in a shootout playing at their pace. We can literally beat them at their own game.

On some level that must worry them. Bama beats you with offense and Pope is every bit the offensive genius Oats is.
