Who here wants UL to do well in football because they are a KY school and its "nice for the state" like many did for their BBall team a few years ago........

And who here thinks those people should be rounded up and held captive inside a Louisville sewer for treason?

I vote sewer for treason.

UL gives us the gift of their misery tonight and then we are getting bowl eligible on Saturday!!!!!! Maybe if they can beat us ....afterwards we can cool on the smack talk but right now......... its full go. Have fun with it guys........ let UL have it. Let them know we're coming for em.

Louisville is part of Kentucky one day a year. Only the first Saturday in may do they have the honor of being in this great state. So unless the playoffs are then this thread is pointless.

I was gloriously happy last night to see UL lose and never will cheer for them in anything. I have some other Kentucky schools I could easily cheer for, as long as they're aren't playing UK, but Louisville will never, ever, be one of those.

I kind of pull for UL. Their success sort of underlines out how ineffective our athletic department has become in everything except basketball. If Barney ever got his hands on that our gooses are cooked.

Comparing our AD to SEC ADs hasn't really been enough to stimulate effective action. Now it's hard to ignore a program in our own state just 60 miles down the road. We've always blamed the poor quality high school football programs for out problems. UL has shown that's not the case. Neither is the morality issue. That's just another weak excuse for a poorly run AD.

So, yeah, I pull for them in a left handed way. I figure the better they are the sooner we'll get rid of Barney.

I root for Western and Eastern but will not root for louisville, can't do it. Does anybody REALLY think they would root for Kentucky in anything, the louisville fans I know hate UK, I will say the feeling is mutual for most UK fans.

I'll take our fball team everyday over the outcasts/criminals/left-overs kicked off other teams and the absolute POS's that make up the Petrino/Pitino/Jurich trinity. Go ahead and keep bashing UK because we didn't hire Petrino, but I'm one of the members of BBN who enjoys having a coach I can look at without wanting to cringe.

The UaVel athletic department is a **** stain on the state of Kentucky, and college athletics in general. I want to win, but in no way want to emulate the way they do it.

I would prefer if people didn't think of Louisville at all when they think of Kentucky because right now all people think about is ugly hookers.

Why should Kentucky residents outside of Louisville pull for UL? It is not the University of Kentucky at Louisville. It is the University of Louisville. UK fans do not owe them anything. As a non-resident of Kentucky I can tell you the city's image is not good when it comes to athletics. The city may be nice but the national image of UL sports is very poor right now.

Nah, never, they claim to hate us and the rest of the state in the past, you just have to wish nights like last night would happen more often.

Kentucky is the State University and most of the people in Western Kentucky always pull for county schools in the state championships, basketball, football and baseball over any louisville schools.

They only thing I'll ever support where U of L is concerned is shuttering the place, and reopening it as the University of Kentucky-Louisville, then consigning it to the same vassal status that UAB lives under in Alabama, or Univ. Illinois-Chicago in Illinois. That institution should have been brought to heel a long time ago. There is no place for rivalry for leadership in higher education in a state the size of Kentucky. It only results in wasteful duplication of effort, and with it tax money. That, or just privatize the place and tell them "Good Luck".

Living in Louisville and having to hear them yapping about going to the playoffs, I was overjoyed to see their hope crushed. I would rather cheer for the Taliban All-Stars than Uvel.

The reason I hate UL athletics is that I hate cheaters, and the fact that they have been so successful at it only makes it worse. Of course practice makes perfect, and jurich and the motley crew he has assembled has had plenty of practice while the incompetent NCAA looks the other way.

I am even a little embarrassed that some of our "win at any cost" fans wanted a scumbag that should be in jail for a coach. And don't try to tell me that you or I could have got away with what he did in Arkansas with no consequences, and Pitino is probably even worse.

But then Willie and hurtt were at a completely different level, not to mention the stretching every rule like the transfers, kicking off a commit at the last minute to bring in a criminal, some of the shams like giving BP $500,000 for his scholastic work, LOL, playing numerous games for ESPN on any night of the week at a moment's notice, especially on high school footballs night, too long a list to mention really.,

Just curious...Exactly what rule have they violated? How have they won that is not within the rules? Is it that you do not like that they picked a coach based on his ability to coach, or that they bring in players that are not choir boys (but to this point apparently have not violated NCAA rules)?

If the damn Taliban had a team, I'd root for it before I would Louisville. Louisville nauseates me. Screw them.
And if they had a team that could win and not suffer consequences of violating ncaa rules, I'd put blue helmets on them, call them 'Cats and root for them.

Paying whores for recruits is within the rules?

Sorry but I wouldn't take five Jurich's for one Barnhart unless I had a "win at any and all cost" mentality. Barnhart offers something that Jurich doesn't offer: honesty, integrity, selflessness, and a moral compass!
