Who here thinks we get 6 wins this season?

I do......

If we cannot beat UL at home this season, Stoops is the worst coach in UK history.

Here's the problem the way I see it. Stoops may very well be the worst coach in UK history. I think we'll beat Charlotte fairly easily but UL will take us to the woodshed. They may not be very good but we're terrible and getting worse by the week. We have a terrible head coach and staff and the players are just defeated. Both the coaches and players are ready to get this season over with. Sad thing is next year will be even worse if you can believe that.

UL is a lot better than UK at present. I have no expectations of beating them. Stoops has broke my belief we can make a bowl this year. What an incredible choke job with Vandy, Charlotte and UL on the schedule and only needing to win 2/3? SMH.

More importantly, who just doesn't care anymore?

Can't disagree with you. I've been waiting for UK football to kick it up a notch but Stoops is a disgustingly bad coach and I can't see a light at the end of the tunnel. For the first time in my life I can honestly say that I don't care anymore. Stoops failure was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I think we do. I will always be hopeful for my CATS!! I think Charlotte can give us a chance to hopefully get into a rhythm again and hopefully get a little more healthy. It would be nice if we could have this game decided well before halftime so that young guys can play and the 1s and some 2s can get some extra rest.

UK barely beat EKU. UL is not great but they are not bad. I don't expect a win over UL and expect a lethargic victory over Charlotte.

We had a record 8 home games, a wide open SEC East and a very manageable schedule and Stoops and Co still found a way to not only underachieve but to get blown out against multiple unranked teams and embarrass the program in the process. People can say he needs two or three more years, but it doesn't take that long to see what kind of coach you've got. Not when you're playing teams like Vandy and Eastern Kentucky and Louisiana Lafayette and getting (badly) out coached by staffs with significantly less talent and resources. The problems that we see are fundamental flaws in Stoops' abilities as a head coach that aren't going to be fixed with two years or ten years or twenty years. As the old saying goes, some guys are meant to be coordinators and some are meant to be head coaches. Stoops is the former. Way too emotional. Way too erratic. Constantly arguing with refs when he should be worrying about the play on the field. We wonder why our team is so inconsistent. All we have to do is look at our head coach who is an emotional roller coaster that wears his emotions on his sleeve and lets it significantly effect his coaching.

Schedule will be much tougher next year and there needs to be some SERIOUS changes made in the staff in the off season and MARK STOOPS needs to decide what can on offense he WANTS to run and go with it. You cannot convince me that he wants a throwing hurry up system and if that is the case then he will NEVER win at UK because we can't recruit the linemen OR the skilled players it will take to do that

No. If we couldn't beat Vandy then we won't beat UL. UL isn't great but they're better than Vandy.

A lot more than you bb only folks will ever know...UK is a sleeping program with the right person at the helm and a fanbase that would be as rabid as any in the country...WE HAD MORE FOLKS IN NASHVILLE TONIGHT THAN VANDY DID...Hell their fans were leaving in the fourth qtr. and KENTUCKY fans were staying..

Agree with every word...Coach Stoops deserves another year , but this just isn't his cup of tea...Sad he seems to be a great guy...

I believe this: The UK - UofL game will be the best thing that happens to the Katina Powell situation in Louisville because it will deflect attention. UofL will be hardnosed and ready for the fight. Should they win, they'll try to bury Katina in the football talk...for a little while. The 'Little Brothel' comments have them fired up already..so they'll be determined to beat the snot out of us. As a home game, this could drive a stake through the hearts of UK faithful.

Having more fans than Vandy is not impressive. We suck. Quit calling frustrated people basketball fans and UL fans. Get over yourself. I support the same team you do, and they are not good at football, and from what I've seen, they will never be good at football.

I'm not going to blast other fans for being optimistic like some of the nimrods who post on here- more power to you. But I don't see a win against UL. They aren't any good but UK is just that bad.

Hahahaha! 6 wins?! UofL is going to curb stomp this team. UK will probably keep the game close in the first half, Stoops will run a 4th down play on his side of the 50 with time running down in the second quarter. It will inevitably be stopped after Dawson calls for a hailmary. UofL will take the ball and subsequently score before the end of the half to go up 14 points. That will nail the coffin door shut on this joke of a year.

I used to agree with you, but Stoops has joined the barrell club, as in, at the bottom of. He is there with Curry and Joker during my time. I'm sure there are others. It is an act of futility to try to label each as worst. They were/are all terrible.

Be prepared to be disappointed, remember last year? We might be worse. I bet we are a 7 point dog to Louisville

Don't be stupid. I'm not a BB only fan. Your analytical skills are lacking, and your maturity level is low because you devolve into labels instead of constructing valid arguments.

We all care, that's the problem. It's like an addiction, we know it's bad for our health, but we can't stop. We tune in every Saturday saying "today is the day" only to fall back down again. If we didn't care, we wouldn't all be here typing away.
At some point you have to cut off the pain and stop hoping, it helps to cope with the constant losing.

I think we beat UL and break your heart in doing so.

But what does that really mean? A trip to Birmingham to get drilled by a AAC team for another losing record? In a half empty stadium with a television audience that might be larger than reruns of My Three Sons?

If THAT's all this staff can hang their hats on, that's sad. I'm sure people will say "well it's progress". No it's not. Joker backed into a Birmingham Bowl. Teams that basically tie an OVC team and struggle to get six wins against a schedule that any P5 coach would love don't deserve postseason play.

If UK makes a bowl, it is more of a testament of there being way too many bowls than any progress this over-paid, over-hyped staff has made.

You're entitled to your opinion, that's fine. But it's just an opinion and several others think my 'opinion' is close to correct. Joker was bad and Curry was bad and we all know we've had some bad coaches but Stoops has better players and our schedule was the easiest in years and Stoops made horrible coaching mistakes in every game. Keep in mind- I didn't say 'recruiter'.... I said coach. I stand by what I said.

prediction; UL will get up double digits before half and our coaching staff will panic and make even worst decisions than the Vandy game. Hope I'm wrong.

Kai Slater believes that UK will just edge out Charlotte in a nail-biter of a game. The last game, UK will lose to UL to stagger to the finish with 5 wins.

Sorry to say this, but I'm just being real here.

No question that it's very disturbing the results Stoops is getting with our increased talent level. We have no depth, but we have talented playmakers on offense. No excuse for losing to Vandy.
