It's harder to see a path to get to six without Vanderbilt. UK should be able to beat Louisville, but being a rivalry game, really anything can happen...not exactly the type of game you want to depend on to make it to a bowl game.

Let's see...Charlie Bradshaw wasn't a world-beater; John Ray was definitely worse; JP was worse...not a good coach and obviously didn't recruit well; Curry probably knew a lot about Football but not a good coach at Ky. Not sure where you put CMS in there, but definitely not at the bottom.
I dont think there is a chance we beat UL. This team is in shambles.....we havent blown anyone out, and almost lost to EKU (which apparently wasnt a fluke). Ill actually be glad once football season ends.

For whatever reason, I think the best shot, is Barker playing the entire game against Charlotte - and playing well. Then, getting the nod against Louisville and having a real break-out game.

I don't know anything about Charlotte however I am expecting a win. UL on the other hand has shown improvement after starting 0-3 and even though we have them at home, I honestly do not believe we will win that game. UL offense has not looked great this season, however they are going against our defense. UL defense looks good at times, however our offense looks horrible most of the time. Anything can happen on the FB field however I am once again expecting this team to finish with just 5 wins. If this do finish the season 1-1 in the last 2 games, this season has be looked upon as a failure and a step back for the program. Then the will work will begin, convincing the players that verbally committed to stay on board and hopefully we can pick up a few that we did not expect to get.
Even WKU beat Vandy at Nashville,glad we don't play Western,no way we beat UL, Petrino will pour it on us for not hireing him,some asst coaches must be replaced,or we may not win 4 games next year
The Louisville game will be interesting. Last year our players looked defeated going into the UL game and I thought we had no chance and that we would get beaten pretty badly. However, we actually should have won that game and we played a lot better and looked a lot different in that game than we had in other games. Will our team do the same thing this year or will continue to look inept?

Do you really think we overlooked Vandy? How can Kentucky overlook anyone. We have been the whipping boy in all of college football forever. We didn't overlook them, we just got our asses kicked by them. And, we haven't learned any lessons all year that I can tell.

WESTERN Kentucky beat Vandy. EASTERN Kentucky nearly beat UK. That says it all. We have a coach who cannot. So there is no reason to get excited about our second tier program. Another trip to the Stinky Underwear Bowl in Nashville is meaningless.

Any game you have a chance and UK could beat UL with a Bowl on the line. With that said looking through my Red tinted glasses I don't think UL is a good match up for UK. The UK defense is not very good so UL should be able to score and the UL defense is all about pressure on the QB. If a team has a good O line like UVA, FSU and Houston our secondary give up big plays but the UK O line has given up a lot of sacks and that plays into what UL does well.
No way we beat Louisville. If we can't beat Vandy we sure can't beat Louisville.

No chance. If they can't beat Vanderbilt, they're not beating Louisville. They have looked like crap the last month. After that last drive in the Auburn game, it was just all down hill.
I have seen these predictions every year and every single time sunshine pumpers torture themselves with unrealistic expectations. Unfortunately this is the identity of Kentucky football. We might win the occasional game against a respectable opponent but we always lose to the usual suspects and choke away a lot more.
Short of getting the booster's pockets of Alabama and LSU to buy a ton of talent, nothing significantly is changing.

UL had a front end loaded schedule and have not gotten that much better. Their coach is very good. They are very young. It comes down to the last game. I feared it would.
