Upsets: duhOSU over Iowa, PSU over Ill, NU over IU, MSU over PU, NU over MSU. IT COULD HAPPEN!!! Maybe Rassler already posted these...

PSU is peaking but NU will play them better this time, for once bearing the burden of being a favorite.

Today (Wed 3/8)

1. dOSU vs. WIS, 5:30 pm Central
2. Minn vs. Neb, +25min. after Game 1

Wiscy and Neb will likely win, but dOSU is dangerous. Don't expect to see either Minn or Neb to beat MD in the next round, setting up a MD-IU matchup in the third round, while we play either PSU or ILL.

Two (mild) upsets already. Could be a crazy tournament, with the Cats winning it all!

The Nebraska-Minnesota game was fast paced. Nebraska had numerous opportunities to win but i took bad shots or committed dumb fouls which lost it for them. I will say that Tominaga is a talented scorer and moves well without the ball well

The TV schedule in the sports page of The SF Chronicle already shows PSU vs NU Friday. The schedule for Purdue and MSU show both opposing teams that might continue to these games and the schedule for IU is blank.

Does the Chron know PSU vs. Ill is fixed?

Driving home from the Twin Cities on Monday, I saw a bumper sticker in western Wisconsin that said "Defund the Media". Um... They already did.

I didn't vote for them (or NU), but just the fact that MSU is being totally overlooked means Izzo will probably do it.

Who did you pick to win it all? I feel sorry for that school. 😜

After the PSU win over ILL, the lower seed has won every matchup so far this tournament. I get a feeling that MD will break that streak against Minny, but not a given either. Just hope NU beats PSU tomorrow.

It's a shame that the one year where the underdog keeps winning is the one year NU has a great seed! I think by the time it gets to tonight, things will have normalized.

The IU fans were terrible last night at the game. Most were cheering against the cats.
I can never root for Penn State in anything. I'd rather not root for Ohio State, though I realize this isn't football. I think I like IU better than Purdue. I like TJD better than Edey. He doesn't whine as much and he's a more interesting player. It's very scientific!

I was there and rooted for NU last night. I can see the flip side of it though, with today now being PSU’s 3rd game in under 48 hours. IU was 0-3 combined in the regular season vs NU/PSU.

This stuff about teams getting worn out because they play too many games without a break is, in my opinion, nonsense. OSU and PSU didn't look worn out to me! ;)

Penn State just took down Indiana. That was poor "tired" Penn State that did that! 'Cats played PSU tougher than IU did.

Two interesting things -

1) OTHER didn't get a single vote in this poll, yet it just might win!
2) If Purdue wins, they'll do it without beating a single top eight seed in the tourney.

I'm happy NU got second place in the regular season, but the tourney did a nice job of reminding us (as if we needed the reminder), that the entire conference (even Minnesota!) is competitive with each other and anyone can beat anyone else.

Probably one of the most balanced number of teams in years. Just NU being anywhere from a 2 to 7 seed going into the final game against Rutgers says so much.

So if you are Purdue, do you take your chances by playing Edey for 30 minutes, pounding it inside and having him put up 30 points? You will sacrifice a lot of perimeter defense, which sounds like suicide vs PSU. I think you have to try it, as I would not want to put the offensive onus on those young PU guards.

Purdue wins. 23% of the voters on this poll were right.
