Side note: Moe Williams AVERAGED 145 ypg in '95. Good for 4th all-time SEC. THAT'S AMAZING, especially considering the team he had around him.
Obviously I was thinking he reminded me of Snell. Moe seemed a little more elusive and diverse in his skill set.(429 all purpose yds. Record) Snell drags people and runs pissed more, if I remember correctly?

I think Artose is who I'd compare him to. A workhorse. Someone that can handle the workload as much as you need.

was fishing a tournament on the James River yesterday, so I had to listen to the game. They compared him to Earl Campbell. I think he reminds me of Zeke Elliot.
Athletically, skill set, and otherwise, there is little or no rational comparison between Benny Snell and Ezekiel Elliot, Earl Campbell, or Moe Williams. Totally different backs. I would compare Snell to Kamryn Pettway, Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, Brandon Radcliff. Same size, similar skill sets. As a historical comparison, I would compare Snell to Artose Pinner although Snell has better comprehension and vision.

Matt Snell! He played with Broadway Joe when they beat Baltimore and Johnny U in the Super Bowl. Matt scored the only touchdown for the Jets, who won 16 to 7. Most of you probably can't remember it.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!
That's the Super Bowl Joe "Willey" guaranteed a victory if memory serves me correctly and yes I can remember it-lol

A faster 'tose. Benny is as big now as Pinner was as a Junior.

I'd say he reminds me a bit of Ahmad Bradshaw (when he was healthy) he runs pissed off at the world like Bradshaw did.

I don't know who the kid reminds me just yet. Its funny when someone compares the kid to a past great and fans cry and tell us he's not that talented. You don't say? No one is saying the kid is as good as ES or EC, but watching him play just reminds people of those two. I'm just wondering how so many recruiting experts got this kids talent so wrong. Its obvious the kid is talented enough to play at any school in the country. The amazing part is the kid is doing this as a true freshman. That is crazy. How in the world could so many great college football coaches not offer the kid on the spot? No one, not even the pretend Kentucky fan/UL fan can disagree with the fact this kid has a bright future ahead of him in football. When you have players like Snell on the roster, it makes recruiting a lot easier and a great high school QB prospect will want to play in the same backfield that features a running back with the talent this kid has. Its cool to think we will have this kid for at least two more years.

Artose Pinner. He really only played one year and made Guy Morris look like a genius. He always ran up the middle and it took three guys to bring him down. Shame his career ended more or less in the Senior Bowl when his leg was broken.
