Headed there with 6 NU fans. Have not missed a game in Lincoln yet, one of my favorite away game venues. Go 'Cats!

Agreed; haven't missed one either. Referring to the overwhelming majority of Husker fans, these people are without doubt the most gracious hosts I've ever encountered. I've seen the 'Cats play in something like 16 states, and have yet to come across a fan base as welcoming to visitors as these folks are. The wife and I are looking forward to the trip in a big way. All our games in Lincoln have been entertaining, and I expect this'll be another good one.

I’ll be there with three other NU fans. Like a few others, I haven’t missed a Cats game in Lincoln yet- just a fun place to be on a college football Saturday win or lose. Though winning does help because that one other time stung just a tad.

How do you guys get tickets? I thought that they were sold out every game for like 65 years? Does the NUticket office sell some?

there are also hundreds (if not thousands) of tickets available on the secondary market sites . . . many for what can't be more than face value. I'm sure this isn't a normal thing, but I'm assuming it's a reflection of the fan base's current mindset with regards to the direction of the program?

Stubhub starts at $23, actually a little shocking to this Nebraska native.
Tickets started becoming cheaper on the secondary market after the NIU game, and went lower after the Wisconsin game.
You could get tickets to the Ohio State game for way under face value, which was a first for an opponent of that stature.
Although all the games are sold out, due to pre-season ticket sales, it seems a lot of Husker fans are protesting by not going, and getting rid of their tickets.
If the trend continues, the sellout streak will come to an end. As a Husker fan I can tell you that this, even more than his record, will get a coach fired at Nebraska. The athletic department and city of Lincoln have a lot riding on home games with a full stadium!

Although the game Saturday is already "sold out", if it's cold or rainy you will likely see some empty seats. Possibly even if the weather isn't bad.

Ever B1G Team must allocate a certain required number of tickets to visiting teams.

The visiting tickets allocated to NU by Nebraska are , I guess , considered to be within the Lincoln city limits. I would recommend the secondary market because you will be treated well ,even if your are in the midst of a sea of red.

I toyed with the idea of a return trip to Lincoln, but there are no non-stop flights from DC to Omaha anymore and airfare alone was almost $600

I stand corrected as Delta flies non-stop from DC but ticket is now $1445.00 I did not find this ticket before since I stopped checking flights when the cost went over $500
