They both can shoot is my main question. We have lots of tall guys who can't shoot. I know Hawthorne is skinny but his length and shooting could help.

Apparently everyone can shot until they get into the game
We shot comparibly last night to UL.
What we didn't do well was we had 14 turnovers and they had just 6.

We don't need to be trying to squeeze in two more role players. We have plently of them already.
Last year and this year one of my biggest complaints about Pope is he'll never try a small ball lineup, I know we'll struggle defensively but we were already struggling defensively, I would of liked to see Jelavich at the five here and there for way better spacing.

Louisville's high-powered offense scores 77 if we don't gift them 19 points off turnovers.
Turnovers don't happen on defense.
I think shooters could help spacing and opening up passing lanes, but I'm not sure if shooters are the end all be all. That said, I'll be happy when the guys seem like they know what they're doing on offense because giving Louisville 19 points really irks me.
I know we're frustrated with the loss and it's easy to question the coach after a loss. I'll still give Pope the benefit of the doubt: If he sees Hawthorne and Potter every day in practices and thinks they need to redshirt--I'm good with it.

I know but we had issues with clogging the floor l, that caused some of the turnovers, just saying. I know potter probably is slower because he's a seven footer. I believe in pope so if he thinks it'll benefit long run so he it.
