Why aren't we using timeouts?

We just let them drain 5 minutes plus off clock and kept 3 timeouts in pocket wtf?
I know it was highly unlikely we could win but why not at least try?

What I've seen is that we are no closer to being a contender for the Big 12 than we were in 2012 at the beginning of the season with Austin, Smith, and Bailey.
