Why do Leftists vote against what they were once for and/or vice versa?

example: ICE deportations of illegal aliens

for it during Obama administration with zero protests, now against it under Trump with protestors attacking ICE agents!

Why?

Anyone got an answer?

There are so many more examples of this (Dems being for what they once were against and vice versa) but I don't want to post all of the examples myself because quite frankly I'll forget one or two.

So feel free to add your own examples, and let's watch to see if any two faced Leftists provide some explanations for us?

Here's another one:
Fracking...Dems almost universally opposed it during the first Trump administration, then suddenly embraced it for cacklin' Kamala Harris' ill fated attempt to stop Trump from re-acquiring his so far successful second term.

Why?

Facts on Kamala Harris flip flops on fracking

excerpt:
"Fracking, she's been against it for 12 years," Trump said on September 10 (archived here). "If she won the election, fracking in Pennsylvania will end on day one," he added. "Oil will be dead, fossil fuel will be dead." "I will not ban fracking, I have not banned fracking as vice president of the United States," Harris said during the debate.

Again, I don't want to hog the entire thread with all of the examples of Dems now for what they once were against, (or vice versa) but here's another big one for me. Gerrymandering.

Gerrymandering:
The practice of redrawing electoral districts to gain an electoral advantage for a political party. ie: to give one political party an unfair advantage in elections. This often involves strategies like "cracking" and "packing" to dilute or concentrate voters' influence.

Democrats’ Gerrymandering Flip-Flop Erodes Their Credibility

excerpt:
For years, Democrats framed gerrymandering as a fundamental threat to democracy. Former president Barack Obama once called it “a sneaky way for politicians to consolidate as much power as they can.” Obama’s former attorney general, Eric Holder, helped launch a national campaign to end partisan redistricting, warning that it disenfranchises voters and erodes trust in government.

...
And yet, something has shifted.

“All’s fair in love and war,” declared New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D), speaking to reporters on Monday. Flanking her were Democratic Texas State Legislators who had just fled their state to keep their Republican colleagues from having the quorum they needed to redraw Congressional maps in their favor.

On choice...Dems were all for allowing women to choose what they do with their own bodies, except when it comes to competing against men! Now, Dems are against them refusing to accept men competing against women or posing as women, even in fully exposed male genitalia inside female locker rooms!

Why?

Every Democrat Senator Voted Against Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports and Locker Rooms.

excerpt:
A Rasmussen Reports survey released this week finds that 75% of Americans believe there are only two genders — male and female. By a margin of 68% to 19%, respondents said they do not want people counseling their children in school on gender identity without their consent. That included the majority of all political parties: 80% of Republicans, 54% of Democrats and 72% of independents.

Yet every Democrat in the Senate voted in lock step to block the ban on men in female dressing rooms as it takes 60 votes in the Senate to pass the legislation into Law.
